Clip up on Facebook of an un-interrupted transformation of Optimus in the desert.

Some of the comments I saw were:

"Imagine seeing that in IMAX" (IMAX 3D for me:)  )

    and

"No wonder the toy was the way it is..."

So the front wheels are inside his chest this time but where does the back wheels go? On his back or something?

Just noting that I actually noticed a lot of the 'cheats' this time in the Transformation. The arm for example when bending moves through where the door is and when the chest folded down a lot of things disappeared and re-appeared elsewhere. I know its understandable that they 'cheat' on the Transformations, but this was one of the first times I noticed.

As for the comment about the toy - what are they on about? "No wonder the toy was the way it is..." so they are referring to the fact the toy is a shell-former? I don't get it :s

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed the excessive level of cheating this time...

Interesting. It's a new transformation for a new design of Optimus.

But to my mind it seems over-elaborate. I compare it to his first ever transformation (the alley scene at 2007) and this one looks rather overdone.

Still, when Optimus transforms there is always a sense of awesome. This should be great to see in the film.

I don't see how his front wheels folding under and into his chest a cheat? Look at his transformation in movie 1 where his chest folded into itself and compacted how many times? Same thing here. And his back wheels stay on his legs just armor closes around them. Again, not cheating just armoring lol.

I was curious to see how he'd transform, and it's certainly very impressive. I like it a lot :)

I can see a little cheating, like where the hell dot he doors go? :lol  but i admit it's not as much as others make it out to be.

Hopefully Hasbro can create a better figure in the future, for the moment though i'm surprised at how close they got the CGI models Transformation to the toys Transformation. Where the arms come out of the door etc. I have to say, watching this i have a lot more respect for the current leader class.

C'mon guys! Did you REALLY think you weren't going to get a cheaty transformation from something that goes from this:

    To this?:

Besides, there's been "cheating" in the transformations for what.... 7 years? It's not exactly like it's anything new

It still amazes me how they do this. That was utter perfection. Damn, they need Oscars for this. Like, seriously.

whoever approved these designs... ugh. you've had 7 years to design actual transformation schemes but you just went backwards.

It's not new, but shall we say, more obvious.

I mean, the new aesthetic just means more parts disappearing and vanishing. How else would Drift form his samurai armour from a Bugatti?
