I'm not sure if others think the same way, but I often get a Megatron as a counterpart to a fellow Optimus/Convoy. Rarely do I buy Megatron alone, for his own merits. The only time I think, is Beast Machines, where the Blast Punch Optimus didn't impress me enough for me to get as a counterpart to my (beloved) Beast Machines Megatron.

What about you guys? I'm sure there are a few Megatron fans out there who skip all Optimuses entirely, but what about those Optimus fans?

 

I have RID Galvatron but no Prime to match (even though I'd like one). I think that's the only one thus far.

 

The only Megatrons I have without Optimus counterparts are Happy Meal toys I've acquired over the millenia...

Actually I never had really much Decepticons, I remember only some blue Jet with neon-green cockpit and yellow stripes, Flamefeather, Cindersaur, Sparkstalker and Pretender Starscream.

I'm getting a Galvatron as Counterpart to my WFC Prime. I was thinking about getting WFC Megatron, but I'm not that satisfied with his design.

 

For Beast Machines I have Megatron but no Pimal. I actually have two Megatrons... Megabolt Megatron and the Dragon.

 

I'm not really an Optimus fan BUT I'll buy a Dark Convoy over Megatron any day to go along with Optimus.

 

Every Optimus I own, except for the Universe two-pack, was bought without Megatron to accompany him.

 

Actually, I remember years ago when the Energon Megatron came out (I think it was a Wal-Mart exclusive or something). I got that without ever getting the Optimus.

Good question. I had to think on it for a series that HAD a Megatron but no Optimus because I'll always buy both.

I came up with the Universe Legends G2 Series Megatron. And even then I picked up the Spychanger Prime repaint of Scourge to balance it out.

 

I have all of three Megatron toys, and I have the Optimus to go along with each.

Although, for a while, I didn't have Animated Optimus. Fixed that just a few weeks ago.

 

As a child I had Transmetal Megatron but never got a Primal.

 

I had two Movie Legends Megatrons (both gifts) but no Optimus

 

Energon Megatron and Cybertron Megatron (well Galvatron) were both bought without the Optimus counterpart.

 

I own a couple different beast era Megatrons (sorry not sure which series) and now that I think about it no Primal to balance them out with. It's funny I never really thought about it before now.... good topic.

 

I bought an Armada megatron without optimus, as to why i didn't get him is still beyond me to this day, but just recently i found him in his box with everything on Ebay!

 

I only buy the Primes usually, I've looked at all the Megatrons the past few years and none of them look real good to me. I have the Move 1 Legends Megs and the one from the classics 2 pack with Prime and the DVD... and that's it. A friend gave me some Dragon/Demon Megatron that came out several years ago - He is really great!

my little bro got a animated voyager megatron before the voyager prime. then i bought him a leader megatron after he got the prime that i got him for christmas. i buy my little bro to much transformers.

 

the only megatron-without-a-prime-counterpart i have is machine wars

I got the Animated Megatron but didn't care for any of the Optimus toys so.....
