I'm slimming down my collection a little bit and I'm undecided on this guy. In general I am not a fan of him. For one thing he is grey, I don't know why Hasbro wouldn't release him in a red or marroon as the regular release. Anyway since he is technically a "CHUG" or whatever I don't want to get rid of him and then regret it later. I currently have Cyberverse powerglide filling in on my classics shelf. It's tough because I don't think we will get another example of powerglide, but I'm not a huge fan of this figure. What would you do?

Sell it. Then buy one of the many versions of 3rd party G1 powerglide.

Don't let us make up your minds for you.
Otherwise I'll have you dancing for money wearing a pigskin.

Yeah, should have mentioned this is one of the reasons I am considering selling him. He just doesn't feel like powerglide to me.

Agreed. Some people like Powerglide, others don't. You won't get a definitive answer. If you don't like Powerglide because it's white, get rid of it and use the money to get the Walmart repaint or Henkei version. If you don't like the mold, get rid of it altogether. Above all else, do what YOU want to do, not what some faceless words on a chat board tell you.

Grey version, I'd get rid of him. If he were red I'd keep it.

Really? I suppose I'd have him doing that too, except he'd be giving us HIS money and his toys :p

The Reprolabels Hot House conversion kit gives Grey Powerglide a new lease on life, and helps fill out the Classics Micromasters ranks:

I plan on buying a 3rd party Powerglide and since I feel the same as you I will wrap him in bubble wrap and into the closet he'll go. I fear I will regret selling him.

It's totally up to you man. I personally and this is from my personal stand point, I use to own the grey version of powerglide, but decided to get rid of it since I never like the colors nor the mold. I currenlty use my Cyberverse as a classics stand in but am awaiting what the 3rd party guys have to offer.

The Ultra-class Powerglide is awesome, especially as the Stormcloud repaint.

Love it. I have the Grey one repurposed as hothouse and the walmart red one as PG.

I might be up for this right now :redface2:  :lol !! As for the question at hand, I would say sell and go for one of the 3rd party figures coming out soon. That's what I wold do, or keep the DotM Cyberverse figure as the stand in for the time being. Im thinking the reason we got that is because of how many people were saying that the Ultra class version was just not right for the character.

I have the red Wal mart version of it and it fits into my classics just fine. Maybe you should get that one?

Wal-Mart or Cyberverse. Why waste your money on overpriced third party crap when there's perfectly good regular priced official crap to be had?

Yeah I have the cyberverse as a stand in right now. Still a little bit too "movie" but it's better than the ultra version. I may just get the Wal-Mart version eventually, it doesn't seem to be too expensive on ebay ATM.
