OK so I asked my wife for complete G1 series dvd set for Christmas and she bought me The Ultimate Cybertron Collection. Bless her heart. Anyway, just curious of other's thoughts on this series. I like all the colors and the animation. I like some of the characters already, not sure about Scattershot's and Thundercracker's redneck accents. Also think that the parts involving the children are pretty silly. It definately has a Japanime feel to it. Well I won't ramble on any further. Just wondering how popular this show was.

Arguably the best TF anime from Japan!

It was a pretty good show compared to the more recent tf series. It was decently popular, I plan on picking up the series sometime in the future.

I liked it enough to buy the box set myself. It was fun, bright, and had a good dose of entertaining characters. There are sections that tend to drag some (Speed planet, Giant planet), but otherwise, I think they did a good job with the series. I don't regret buying it for a second.

Oh, and the last episode is probably the greatest final ep for any anime TF show.

Parts of it definatly drag out (I'm looking at you Speed Planet), making others seems rushed, but on the whole I found it a very enjoyable series.

And as said previously, fantastic conclusion.

Some bits were nice, but overall extremely dragged out, far too many (and too damn LONG) SUPAH ROBO ATTAKKU!!!!!! stock footage sequences, and the only real saving grace were the attempts by the dubbing team to do away with a lot of the original Japanese dull and trite dialogue.

Cybertron was a pretty good show. Not great, but good. It's one of those shows you should watch through at least once. It's also the closest thing to Brave we've had since Gaogaigar. XD

Yeah, I saw this boxset, and the Energon one, at Target today for $40 each. Debating snagging them both and starting up my TF DVD collection.

I was sort of mixed on the series.

There were some episodes that I really didn't like at all and it was my bad luck to get introduced to the show with some of the bad episodes.

The good episodes though are really nice and they put a lot of character into the show which is always a nice thing. Having the box set wouldn't be a bad thing at all since it will give you the chance to watch the series and then you can go back and only rewatch the episodes that work for you.

Although the show does contain one of my biggest shames as a Transformers fan because I really enjoyed the cheesy over the top things about Thunderblast and her transformation. Yea I know I should be shot.

He shoots lasers, and is not afraid of anything!

The show's not bad. Probably the best of the AEC, except some of the good parts of Armada's Unicron Battles. Definitely doesn't fit right into the AEC that Hasbro wanted, but it's a very nice show if you view it as a standalone.

There's worse things out there for sure, and it's good quality entertainment, but nothing groundbreaking or Emmy winning.

I enjoyed Cybertron. As others have said, there's good and bad about the show, but I think the good generally outways the bad. And the last episode final battle between Prime and Galvatron = total win.

Well I have the Box Set of Cybertron and I found it quite interesting, the Anime from Japan was good but I also found that the Speed Planets episode did seem to drag a bit, but other than that its excellent

I really liked Cybertron personally. Started out a little slow and was a little heavy of cut scenes but overall I thought it was a great show.

Good series overall, I enjoyed the show. Starscream was especially entertaining.

It had it's moments and was slightly better then the two before it, but as a whole the Armada-Enegron-Cybertron series did nothing for me.
