I just ger around to mess with this guy today and i must say that im impressed.

Aside from the face sculpt which is not spot on, the rest is simply perfect. Super fun to mess with and to transform it.

One of the best figure i ever own price wise.

 

Is Springers last name Tanaka ?
He looks every bit as Japanese as G1 Galvatron's toy does.

 

Seriously, just file the back of the face plate and pegs down a bit. It makes a huge difference.

I'm willing to see which would be the next open and play release.

 

There's a seam line around the face so if you sand to or cut along the seam line, it'll be perfect. You'll probably want to trim the pegs a little too. There's a surprising amount of plastic that needs to come off to make it sit more flush but it's worth it.

Big Cannon, their oversized KO Titans Return Galvatron (more or less). Eh. They teased Arcee. Still waiting for that...

Preordered !!! His robot mode seems to be the best proportioned of all the 3P springers.. And what sealed the deal for me would be his "full frontal" silhouette where the kibble doesn't block the shape of his waist.

Have to admit, that would make Big Spring better than Apache IMO.

What on Earth is going on over at FT? They REALLY dropped the ball, here. He's too fat in some spots, too skinny in others, his armored car mode is atrocious, his helicopter mode is so so and his robot mode is meh.

Shame that headsculpt is so, so good. Only saving grace and it's not enough.

Grimlock, Skyfire, Arcee and their Reflector are all MP quality and look the part. Hound is known to break, Kup's a bit of a mess and Springer? Well, a no name company, the new kid in school (Open & Play) went up to the biggest jock (FansToys) and schooled them on their first outing. How insane is that?

I own UT Allen, and I think it's a great figure, definitely beating out Apache, but neither of them can hold a candle to Big Spring.

Utterly insane. Outside of his face sculpt, Big Spring is the only one to be nearly perfect in replicating accuracy and It's a $60.00 figure.

The world has turned upside down. Open & Play, long may they live and be successful.

 

Honestly, I think the colours are good as-is. I wonder how hard it'd be to get an Apache head from FansToys and just transplant it onto Big Spring.

 

Ordered Big Spring from Chosen Prime. My first order with them and he was on sale so I couldn't pass it up.

 

So I actually ordered ft Springers head and hands. Gonna try to swap, I’m sure the colors are gonna be an issue. May just change the face at the very least. Will def post pics if I get anywhere with the project lol.

 

No way the hands will feet in OP's forearms, you'll need to make them removable.

 

You are right. Unless it is combiner wars stuff, there is no way that those hands will feet.
