If it's any consolation, the Ultra Power Core pickup (or whatever it's called, the box on top of the center platform on Array) does the same thing the Ammo Beacon did and can be picked up by any class. Plus it actually puts a visible bubble around the area of effect.

 

It doesn't give you ammo, I think that bubble is more like a replacement for Warcry. I just loved dropping my beacon at a node and refilling everyone then spawning a giant ion turret. >.>

 

Fun? Might be a bit much. It's not completely broken on all sides, though.

 

It definitely gives you ammo. Gives me ammo, at any rate, assuming I'm not already carrying my max capacity. I'll be standing under it, reload, and see the little icons pop up in the corner telling me how much it gave me for each weapon.

 

You're probably right, I've never really noticed. I usually keep my ammo maxed out.

 

Whatever, I play fucking Single Player all day. Multiplayer is just HMS begging for players to stay tuned for another couple weeks. MP is still awesomely fun regardless, but SP is what makes me buy this game.

I did, and you're right. Perhaps I should have made myself clearer, it's not so much the colors I don't like (although I don't like them, and don't think I ever will), as the color system.
