Not sure how I feel about the booking decision in the tag team championship match. Seems like an odd choice to have happen, hopefully there's a bigger story brewing with all that and it pays off. Also, I do hope that they are building to a BCC vs Elite showdown for the Trios belts since it looks like Mox, Claudio and Yuta are doing trios matches more often.

 

I have enough faith in AEW's booking to trust the process on the Gunns. They get legitimate heel heat and cheated to win.

 

I agree they do generate a great amount of heat for themselves. I do have faith that there will be a good payoff to the whole thing.

 

I expect at least a rematch at Revolution, perhaps a gimmick match. Possibly a token defense or two against jobber teams before then (like those Outrunner guys). The question then is do the Acclaimed become 2x champs or do the Gunns retain so they can lose the belts to a returning FTR when they're ready.

On a different topic, hoping the Bunny is ok. General consensus is the match with Hayter was cut short because of an injury, with the way Allie wasn't being shown after the pin and reports from people at the show that she got helped to the back. There's question over whether it was her leg/knee on the one suplex, her nose from Hayter landing on her during one of the suplexes, or a concussion.

 

The only way that the Gunns vs FTR makes sense is if the Gunns go on a crazy run with the tag titles, cheating of course and using all kinds of nonsense to win until they invoke the name of FTR having them come out to challenge and win the belts. If that's the long-term plan then I am onboard. But if not , then the money match is Acclaimed vs FTR
