I have to admit, considering the huge hype for RAW XXX, it didn’t live up to it. Big shame they cut the cage match because that kinda took away from the “special ep of RAW” feel. Weird thing to cut when there’s plenty of other expendable fluff.

Potentially full week for me. Team Ambition student showcase tomorrow night, St. Louis Anarchy Friday, and possibly either Cape Championship Wrestling or IWA Productions on Saturday.

Raw is coming to Seattle in April and I'm the least bit interested. I almost considered getting the VIP package but after last night's Raw I backed out.

Undertaker made Bray look good with that “passing of the torch” moment.

I’ve see a lot of hype for that segment online and it shows how fans jump the gun on “burials” when someone loses a match or a feud. Wyatt and Taker feuded twice. Taker won both feuds and won the mania match. Everyone cried that Taker wouldn’t pass the torch or put Wyatt over. Yet, on Monday, the moment with him and Wyatt hit hard/resonated because of their long history. The losses didn’t matter, just being in those long programs vs Taker.

That whole final match with between Lethal and Mark Briscoe was heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. Jay Lethal was barely holding it together. And for the locker room to come out after as a proper homage and send off for Jay Briscoe had me all in my feels. Whether you like Tony Khan and AEW or not, they know how to do a tribute to a wrestler with class. Well done.

You’re right that many in the IWC see a wrestler lose one match and proclaim “that’s it, he’s done, they’re burying him”. A good loss can still put a wrestler over. I didn’t see it myself, but I’ve heard many people talk about Ric Flair basically making Sting look like a star in the late 80’s even though Sting lost. Hart vs Austin at WM13 also comes to mind.

If you can find it watch the very first Clash of the Champions 1988 match with Flair vs. Sting. That's the match you're talking about and it's the match that made Sting a superstar.

So, does Rock show up at the Rumble and take it? Cena? Lesnar?

I don't really follow WWE much, but it seems like Cody winning the Rumble has always been the plan. It would finally get him into the the fued with Reigns that would have probably happened if Cody hadn't been injured last year.

True, but they've still been planting the seeds for a Rock/Roman match as well. And it's just like Vince to piss the fans of Cody wanting to win it off.

Haven't been paying enough attention to really have an educated view on who's likely to win.

Funny thing, indie show I attended last weekend did a 30-wrestler Rumble. Another one that's running this Saturday also has a Rumble scheduled (likely scheduled the venue thinking the WWE Rumble would be on a Sunday).

I saw in the latest Rumble odds that Cody and Sami Zayn have the best odds of winning. But after them, the next highest favorites are Rock and Austin. I love the Rumble, but I HATE the idea of non-regulars coming back to win it just to set up a one-off WM match. IMO the Rumble should be used to catapult a current superstar to the main event. I mean, Sami winning would open up a plethora of storyline possibilities with Reigns.

The Rock vs Roman should have nothing to do with the title, so Roman should lose it before the feud with The Rock

You all know what is going to happen. The match between KO and Solo, the Usos and maybe Reigns will interfere. They might do the same tomorrow at the Royal Rumble.
