At this point, IDGAF. Vince is continuing to kill the company and even by the time Triple H comes back it’ll be too late. WWE is on terminal life support right now and the ONLY chance it has is in the hands of a competent owner, and right now I can think of nobody better than Tony Khan.

Word is vaccination status may be a factor in all these releases.

I gotta agree, AEW is way too crowded right now as it is. Maybe take no more than 2 or 3 of these new releases.

I really think they are preparing to sell to someone. They have more money than ever yet are still trimming all excess expenses - which is normally a sign of someone preparing to sell up….

4-5 people is what I've seen mentioned for vaccination reasons, not all.
Nia put out a statement saying she took time for mental health reasons, was given a schedule for coming back, asked for time and was released instead. Claims her vax status had nothing to do with it.

These 'budget cut' releases are either simply to impress the investors with the quarterly report, or it's further prep for a sale.

"Budget cuts" My ass I bet WWE didn't even know what to do with that talent or how Vincey Boy loses interest in someone like a damn goldfish.

Regardless of whether they are selling or not, I think the end game is to eventually replace almost everybody with cheap and disposable performance centre folks who have no leverage because they can only work WWE style and have no connections in the rest of the industry. Once they run out of excess people and have enough new folks from the Orlando sports entertainment factory to start filling Raw and SD, everybody who isn't already in the top protected tier (Roman, Brock, Orton, Seth, Becky etc..) is going to be next.

Years of guaranteed income regardless of product quality and an audience that now mainly consists of brand marks that keep watching no matter what means that Vince can finally achieve his dream of a WWE where the talent doesn't matter whilst still making record amounts of money.

Yeah, the whole budget cuts excuse is bullshit. Apparently they had an investors call the other day and according to what was said they had gained over $200 million in revenue.

    SmackDown starts

First match Naomi vs. Shayna Baszler

    Winner Naomi - clean win.

    Sonya Deville restarts the match

Winner Shayna Baszler - win by Sonya Deville's bullshit of bias interference. I'm sick of her shit. Why wasn't she released? Stupid bitch. Never liked her.

Next match Tag Team match Los Lotharios vs Mansoor and Cesaro

Winner Los Lotharios - clean win.

Next match Drew McIntyre's Open Challenge match Drew McIntyre vs. Ricochet

Winner Drew McIntyre - clean win.

Next match Tag Team match The Viking Raiders vs. Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss

Winners The Viking Raiders - win by count out, Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss walked away from the match.

Last match King Woods with Sir Kofi Kingston by ringside vs. Jimmy Uso with Jey Uso by ringside

Winner King Woods - clean win

Jimmy was about to bend the knee but Roman Reigns attacked King Woods and The Bloodline took out The New Day.

    That's it for SmackDown tonight.

Now we’re getting him VS Eddie Kingston (plus Christian Cage/Jurassic Express VS Elite, Falls Count Anywhere) at Full Gear. That card is HOT AF

Also I think Red Velvet’s win was a pyrrhic victory since she’s facing (STILL UNDEFEATED) Jade Cargill next round

For sure. Comedic timing. Facial expressions. Jacked arms solid in ring.

Really am not feeling any of the “budge”’stuff. The build for his match was just bad. I saw the BTE skit. I get the reference, but it’s too obscure and meta for live TV. And the whole “budge” bit just sounds stupid. Like it was a waste of a build for what wound up being a great match.

Same with Punk v Kingston. The promo got going and got good towards the end, but Punk wanting an apology for being interrupted. Kingston’s interruption that night being him just saying the same shit over and over. Dude sounded like Cartman saying “I do whaaast I waaaaant” over and over, last Friday.

They’ll have a good match and the promo did get good towards the middle/end, but it’s another great feud with a bad start

It's such a shame what the Survivor Series has evolved to. They were so much better in the late 80's and early 90's.
