I can understand it ending in a draw because it not only saves Bryan from losing his very first AEW match PLUS it keeps the fans focused on what’s gonna happen next in this ongoing feud

 

I understand it, just not a fan of time limits. But yeah, it allows for the story to continue so rethinking about it... right decision

I'm getting really sick of what seems to be the standard "AEW champ wins by someone doing something to their opponent behind the ref's back" stunt, I feel like they use it WAY too much. It kind of kills any match having weight cause you know how it will end...

Was at the show last night. Me and a friend were up behind the face tunnel. First large show I'd been to and damn was it worth it.

I haven't watched the broadcast yet but I gotta ask those who did, how did the Malakai v Cody match come across? Cause in the arena that some of the funniest shit. The crowd was cheering Black like a face and booing the hell out of Cody. Also, did the live shot catch Arn falling off the ring apron when he was trying to swing around the ring post to set up for the 'Cody bumps into him' spot?

Have they given him an All Elite graphic? I assumed it just a one-off for the NYC show

 

I'm not gonna lie, I was cheering for Malakai too.  

 

They showed Arm trying to shimmy around the post cut away slightly only to come back and catch him on his ass on the side the ring. It was pretty funny

 

I told my wife when we were watchin "damn cody is the villain here"  . yeah you guys put black over i dunno how long they can keep him as heel when people want him to murder everyone.

i could totally see black as a tweener in aew just murdering everyone in his path and the crowd cheering for it to happen  

 

I think Cody is trying to be a Cena heel - the overly wholesome baby face that most of the fans reject.

And to go with his inflated ego/sense of importance/heel nature he comes out looking more and more like wrestling’s version of Homelander every week

 

agreed. it is going to make for a great promo when he finally turns on the crowd and has his "I did everything for YOU PEOPLE" moment!
