i must agree, i got tingles because of the moment, but that was not as great as the song thumped in WWE.

That was great. I’m a huge CM Punk fan and he hit all the points he needed to hit without being too bitter/stereotypical exWWE debut.

That bit about apologizing to anyone he’s disappointed, while justifying his leaving WWE wasn’t necessary, but should help some of his ex-fans cope+come back.

And not a bad setup to him and Darby…. But there’s no good win there. Punk needs to win his first match back, but people will bitch thst he’s burying Darby.

Just saw the clip on YT and all I gotta say is AMAZING.! It's a fresh breath of air to see him back in the ring. My only nitpick would be imagine if this was on a PPV and wasn't announced and he just showed up like how Mox did. That is the one thing I miss about Pro Wrestling nowadays as it's so hard to keep everything hush hush, miss being surpised. Overall very pleased to see Punk back:D

EDiT: Man I can't even watch SD @ this point as it's the same old Corbin vs Owens match again lol

EDiT EDiT: If you care to relive that moment again or haven't seen it yet here you go;)

Rest assured I’m also gonna be checking those Vegas fight stores near me to see if they carry Punk’s new shirt.

Just watched it again while actually fully awake - can’t remember the last time I got so emotional watching wrestling like that.

Goosebumps, welled up… the ‘F*ck you Vince’ chant…. They tried to break him. 7 years out and he’s still more over than the WWE roster.

AEW is the rebirth of American professional wrestling.

Incredible segment. Feels like an open wound has finally healed after 7 years for Punk, the Chicago crowd and wrestling as a whole.

Wrestling is fucking awesome and never let any shitty old men convince you otherwise.

I stayed up to watch Punk's debut. I dunno, I guess I expected more. Would've loved to hear him rip Vince and Triple H a new one. Oh well.

If he ripped into them, he would just lower himself to their level. He said more than enough, with plenty of opinions ‘implied’ so that you knew what he was getting at.

He stayed classy, and it was 110% the right thing to do.

He didn't need to bury them personally, just being the most over guy in wrestling again and making SummerSlam pretty much irrelevant this weekend is going to piss them off far more then that would have done.

Between this and NXT turning to ashes, almost seems like karma is collecting on HHH for his wrestling career.

It'll be interesting if WWE takes a shot at him tonight. They sure aren't classy and love to rip former talent. I actually get to watch SummerSlam tonight for the first time in years since I upgraded my cable box and can streak Peacock on it.
