Cool! You gotta have a sign saying TFW or something and let us know to look out for you lol.

(Thinking about does AEW even allow signs??)

Man, that crowd was so hot tonight. It made the great week that much better.

Yes. There were quite a few signs in the crowd tonight. Mostly at the beginning.

They definitely do, so I’m also in favor of a “TFW2005 Represent” sign when you’re there or something like that @solarstorm

    More shortened names.
Shotzi Blackheart will now be known as just Shotzi.
And rumor is Tegan Nox will be renamed Nox.

Personally, I think the IWC forgets that shortening names is not a new phenomenon. WWF was even doing it back during the Golden Age; examples include Pat Tanaka, Luke Williams, Butch Miller, and Hercules Hernandez. However, I also think current WWE takes it too far. Shotzi Blackheart is a good descriptive name that gives you some idea into her character; taking away the last name removes some of the mystique. Riddle is just a fucking stupid name by itself. I was fine with Otis and Tucker having single names while they were in a tag team, but a singles star named just Otis is silly.

I’ll stop there so I don’t end up writing an essay…

So funny story about signs @ taped wrestling shows but I went to a Raw show back in '98 or '99 (iirc) in San Jose and I made an inappropriate sign that said "Lick my [email protected]" as it was a saying in my Hs that was an inside joke/saying amongst my friends. Anyways I believe it made it on TV but within the show some producer or whatever came up to me and my friends and grabbed my sign and gave us a very stern warning that's not allowed PERIOD!.! Now I was shook and apologized blah, blah, blah!

Now what some ppl might not know is back then they will tape Raw then Sunday night Heat and after the previous warning from my sign,my friend made a sign that said "Today is Monday" and someone came and grabbed his sign and once again gave us another warning! Luckily it wasn't the same producer or security/whatever but that memory always cracks me up. It's "Sunday night Heat" but there's a sign that says "Today is Monday" LOL

It would have been funnier of it wasn’t a valid taping day. Like it said “It’s Wednesday” or something. The best signs are the ones that make no sense or have nothing to do with wrestling.

like at AEW a few weeks ago. You had a real heel in the crowd holding a sign that said Persona 5 is overrated lol

I remember on every WWF TV show for a period of what seemed like years there was the “TIE DYE GUY” sign. I’m still not sure what exactly it meant.

Oh, and while we’re on the subject…
At a few Wrestlemanias back in the 2000s, you might see a large Norwegian flag in one of the front rows…that’s my cousin :D
I introduced him to wrestling (first match I showed him was a VHS tape of Mr Perfect vs Big Boss Man from a WM, I forget which) and within a few years he became a superfan. He’d travel from Norway to wherever WM was that year. I totally take credit for corrupting him o_O

Tye Dye Guy is just a guy who wears a tye dye tank top. He kinda looks like Pillman. He would always be in the front row or the first few rows at events. He's a superfan but not on the level of Vladimir.

The signs people made back in the attitude era were gold.

Is Vladimir that thin lanky guy with glasses and white tank top who would be in the front row of seemingly every single show for years?

Yup. That's him. I know WWE just did a documentary about him.

Certainly didn't take AEW long to get it's energy back after hitting the road, really good show with red hot crowd. Great to hear all the younger guys getting the big pops as well.

All Out is going be nuclear if they do both Omega/Hangman and Cody/End on that show.

Just caught up on Dynamite/Fyter. Great show, hot crowd and some very good matches. Liking where the Cody and Black feud is going.

Evidently Davey Boy Smith Jr (British Bulldog’s son) worked a dark match before SmackDown last night and it’s been confirmed that he did re-sign with WWE, although it hasn’t been confirmed yet whether he’ll be on RAW or SmackDown
