The age old paradox, those who love the limelight and the havoc it wreaks behind the scenes. Is it simply an inevitability that you trade privacy for fame? Short of locking yourself away in a room with no windows totally alone is there really even a such thing as "privacy." It sort of reminds me of a song named "Starpeople" by George Michaels. It does make me sad seeing all this crap happen, I grew up with this crazy bastard like many others of my generation and loved watching the tv antics.. I guess at this point going off on any tangent is a waste of time.

The saddest part about it all might just be that this using things said in private against people is just beginning, soon there will be nowhere to run, nowhere to hide

Hogan said it 8yrs ago, people don't let anything go do they?

I'm sure if John Cena said ni**er they wouldn't terminate his ass.

You know.. I think Melissa Santos might be the best ring announcer of the decade. Great presence, great voice, great enunciation, good enthusiasm, sells what bumps she takes well. best of the 201x's easily.

I'd better buy the Hulk Hogan figure I've been eyeing in the store before they get the idea of banning them.

Randy Orton admits to violating the wellness policy a few years back, and what was his punishment? World Championship.

Some WWE affiliated vendors have pulled figures online already I know. I wouldn't be surprised if it spreads to retail.

Funny how that works isn't it? Same with Rollins who was handed the World Championship after tweeting the nudes of him and Zahara. Can't say for certain he was at fault but almost anyone else would have been punished.

Think about the time, 8 years ago. That's when his son was Arrested after the Supra Crash, His Wife at the time was putting the screws to him and he was getting a divorce, he was in the middle of all those back operations that almost paralyzed him. He has said many times that this was the darkest period of his life and he was in a very bad place mentally and emotionally and he almost killed himself during this time. What the man said during a breakdown like that I will not hold against anyone. Especially with some of the people that are defending him like Virgil and Dennis Rodman.

I agree I'm just having trouble with the sex tape being taped in 2006 and the "racist rant" from that 2006 tape is just now being made public in 2015? He admits he said those things so clearly he did but why bring it up now? So who has the most to gain from all this crap and it's clearly not Hogan, As for the Gawker website they deserve what they get if they leaked that to the public to help in their case against Hogan...... I don't know law so I actually have no idea if gawker would face any prosecution if they did leak that transcript....

Yeah this has those scum bags name all over it. They just destroyed themselves in that court case.

Add George Foreman to the list defending Hulk.

truth be told that's the worst kind of racist, smiles in your face then talks behind your back. I'm sure he was a nice guy in person to anyone of color to keep up the good guy image. then at home it's the real guy. so disappointed in hogan

This is why we can't have anything nice.

It doesn't matter what he does at home, just like it doesn't matter what you do at home, or I do at home.

It is your right to do as you please as long as you are not infringing upon the rights of another.

He did not, its 8 yrs old, time to move on world.

meh, I always use the "let those without sin cast the first stone" motto.

everyone is guilty of something either not PC or just not acceptable in public behind closed doors. EVERYONE. so I'm not going to participate in anyway to bash or bring down hogan over this one incident. there's a lot of other stuff I'd be fine with bashing him for, but not this.

Not asking anyone to agree with me, but both your comments i'd expect from the majority (not assuming your race, but just saying) and no everyone doesn't do that behind close doors but people like to say that (mostly white people) to make them selves feel better about doing it.

I have found childhood memories of going to see Hogan at the LA sports arena so finding out he is another racist A-hole tarnishes those. I'm not asking anyone else to stop liking him for this but he gets no pass from me and i could give a damn about your rationalization on why you think it's okay that he said these things.

I also follow this. When some kind of scandal happens(Not illegal) to the famous, people come out of the woodwork acting like saints and their shit don't stink.

But being famous will make you a target and people will try to knock you down.

I agree with both of these comments. This was in private, it was 8 years ago and Hogan wasn't even under contract with WWE at the time.

I can only hope one day your entire life story isn't up for viewing and dissection by the public. Just going to guess you wouldn't like the outcome of that.

Responding to racism with racism is quite ironic. I wasn't speaking for or of others, I flat out said I've used every derogatory, racist and sexist term out there. I'm not going to apologize for a damn thing. I do not white knight myself proclaiming to be holier than thou, just an honest person.....

I don't judge someone by their color, race or religion, but I will call it like I see it if they prove to be it, that goes for everyone.

The guy did something 8 years ago in a shitty part of his life and now they want to crucify him for it? It does tend to seem like either a money grab or a "look at me" greed situation. Right or wrong? I don't know, but this shit needs to get checked or it will be a real issue for everyone one of us. No good comes from zero privacy and most people are too fucking stupid to realize it.

Now for back to topic, why the hell isn't the WWE exploiting the shit out of all this? They are having the story written for them and they aren't even touching it. This to me just says its time for the McMahons to walk away and let it go. Prime opportunities laying around and no one with the balls to run with it. Stone Cold needs to drop Mrs. McMahon again I'm thinking.

who the hell cares what he did or said while filming a pornographic video. This is old news and no reason to fire him now. Its no different than the remarks Paula Deen made. She was raised in the south in that time where that language was frequent and normal

I went into it more earlier and erased the comment because too much of my longstanding personal disdain for Hogan kept seeping in and derailing it. So I'll just keep it simple and to the facts.

WWE Loses 50 Million Dollars Thanks to Hulk Hogan

Hogan cost the WWE 50 million dollars from a 4% stock drop. Say what you will about his rights, pillowtalk vs public behavior, political correctness, etc... but you can't fault the WWE for trying to control the damage. If they didn't strongly and clearly cut ties, they could have lost even more in the long run.

You have the right to say and feel however you want without government interference. Without a fine or an arrest. But the WWE isn't a government institution, despite Linda's ridiculous attempts to buy her way into the Senate. It's a company in the private sector and they have the right to protect their bottom line.

If someone cost me 5 grand, I'd want to kill them. I can't imagine one person costing you 50 Mil....even if you are a billion-dollar corporation.
