Fortunately Scorponok is a G1 character, so there’s justification.

 

It’s a great update too! Retains the look of the G1, but more detailed, and muuuuch bigger.

Sold out already

 

Preorders sold out, 9:01 EST. Honest to god why not just ship them straight to ebay.

 

Hopefully its just not active yet but I’m gonna be livid if its actually sold out

 

Was.. Was it actually up or did it not even go up?

 

I saw comments on the TF instagram post that it was “Sold Out” effectively right at 9 am. Hopefully that means its not been activated

 

I hate to break it to you, but Gigawatt sold out in less than 5 seconds. I'd hope Leadfoot would have more available quantity but I'm thinking the scalpers won today, yet again. Getting real fed up with it myself, seems every single exclusive ends up sold out in literal seconds after going live.

 

Yeah I saw how quickly Gigawatt went out of stock. I tried getting 3 different orders at different times in for a single Gigawatt and each time was rejected

 

This sold out as fast as Gigawatt did. If it lasted as long as the Netflix figures did the other day, then at least the 9am sharp crowd would have been OK. But this is unacceptable. At least Gigawatt was a strictly numbered release with a wider release later. This is a named Autobot from the films that also completes a set.

 

Idk, Gigawat covers 2 fandoms and something never done before. This is an objectively niche character and design from a movie a good chunk of fans don't care for. I preordered Marvel Legends Stan Lee at Target which P.O sold out fast but not instantaneous fast.
We very well could have been scooped, but idk, I just don't see this one being the impossible one to get a hold of. At least my fingers are crossed!

 

I refreshed at 9am sharp. Got it in my cart, gone before I could check out. Bots got them all.

 

Same. I actually checked out with it in my cart but it booted it when it processed my order, so I cancelled the other item I had in there to get free shipping.

 

Oh definitely Gigawatt had broader appeal. And like I mentioned, there was literally less than 2000 available. Gigawatt was an example, but like Slitherfang, the Seekers, etc. it seems that new or exclusive figures (especially new and exclusive like is the case here) sell out in seconds. I 100% think it's bots. Just a shame they are so prominent lately, this is like the 4th or 5th time I've had an item booted out of my cart/sold out too fast.

 

In the thread in the news section, no one was able to get one. Some got it to cart, and some (like me) at least saw the pre-order button and clicked it, but everything sold out immediately. It was definitely up for a few seconds. I'm not knowledgeable about how such things work, but scalpers with bots seems to be the theory....
