I wasn't planning on getting that Tonkanator set until I saw it for 50% off online plus a Target Circle discount made him come out to $43 and change. Couldn't pass it up for that cheap.  

 

Yep, same here. I already have the G1 Devastator reissue and was sorta interested in this set but that price was too high. For this price, sure, I'll get it. The yellow looks good.

 

If you’ve purchased a toy from Target.com since Oct. 6, it is a pretty painless process to use the online chat feature to get a price reduction if it’s gone down in price. I just got them to reimburse me about $7 on a Masterverse figure.

Apparently, online purchases can’t be adjusted in a store.

 

Did you ask them to price match for you? I've never had any issues with Target price matching to Target.com, all you have to do is ask.

 

That's not true at all with online purchases, unless you get a really bad target csr that won't do it, if that's the case go to a different target or even ask for a manager.

 

Yeah it's almost a Yellow G2 vibe if it weren't for the black accessories.

 

I was able to get it from the other store, so I didn't bother. Not sure if I would have been successful because it does say "when purchased online" which I'm guessing is the reason it didn't ring up the sale price in store. But, it wouldn't hurt to ask of course. But, at the time I was looking on my phone in the store I couldn't even pull up the price because you could only "see price in cart". I couldn't put in my cart because it was sold out for every option. It wasn't until after I left the store that I looked again and found the one store in my area that let me buy online for in store pickup. There was only 1 left, so I didn't want to dick around trying to price match when it could have sold out at any moment. All's well that ends well I suppose.

 

I was able to get a price adjustment by contacting Target chat. It took a bit of conversation but we came to a happy resolution. I've already received the confirmation email and the app details match. Tonkanator for ~$53 is far less a sting than the original full price. I no longer feel guilty for splurging on something I'll never open!

 

My request for price adjustment was denied.

 

For those having issues, try calling. I had 2 items, not transformers that I chatted and they refused to price adjust saying it's pays 15 days policy to adjust etc. So I was gonna reorder and return the original higher price item. Then I tried calling. Both times the rep adjusted without issues.

 

I see. I didn't realize it was sold out online already, so that makes a lot more sense now.

Btw, almost everything in the app now says "when purchased online" but I've had 100% success rate in getting the Target associate to price match it anyway. They really don't care, in my experience.

 

I actually took the time to take the survey they e-mailed me shortly afterward about my "shopping experience". Not sure if it would do any good, but it felt good to vent a little.

 

Man, that Tonkanator sale cleared out my neck of the woods. I placed an order last night for that sweet <$50, and it was canceled before I could pick it up this morning—and there ain't nothing left in Los Angeles to replace it!

 

What sucks is that online it wasn't available for in store pick up at the 2 Targets closest to me yet both had 3-4 in stock and sitting on the shelf.

 

The fallen was instock for few hours on target's app

 

Anyone notice they had Pointblank listed as 16.99, but not stock online, not listed as available in stock in any store let alone eligible for pickup
