That's just a shitty thing that they added to the app. It almost never actually means there's only one.
I'm guessing they added it to push people to order if they were hesitant or something. Shady stuff.

Huh... I'm not a Target employee. Yet, it says I have a 10% team member discount on top of my 5% Red Card discount. I just clicked the link provided... I'm guessing when they figure out I'm not a team member, they'll cancel my order. I cannot imagine they'll honor it. How in the heck did that happen?!
It could also be a way of easily handling an order limitation of one per order and/or it's pulling from local store stock OH (on hands). I noticed it when I ordered the Exclusive ML Rogue earlier this month and it definitely set off an "oh shit I should order that" mindset. I checked a couple of days ago (curious if it was sold out or restocked) and it said only 1 left. It's likely something very similar to how they have been handling XBSX stock since this past spring.
However, Target definitely pulls some shady shit (like all big box stores do) but, corporate is also inept enough to roll something poorly worded like this out and pat themselves on the back as if it's a flawless victory against an impossible AI boss. It's probably a bit of all of the above . . .
Ahhh. I didn't consider that it may just be pointing to a line that only shows qty 1. It definitely needs to be worded better.
Time to play the Target Pre-Order Lottery! Bought me a ticket for Road Rage. Will I win? Only time will tell!
Actually, I've never had a Target pre-order cancelled, but I've seen enough people posting about it that I think I was lucky. Also, I've only done a handful of pre-orders with them, partly because of the cancellations I keep reading about.
For what it's worth: I have had Target cancel pre-orders several times in the past year. But they were all regular releases. I haven't had any exclusives canceled on me yet, somehow it's been handled better.
That's good to hear. Hopefully it will be the case with this one as well.
Yall might want to check your emails. On the Road Rage thread people were saying orders of more than one were being auto canceled because Target has a secret limit of only one per customer.
I tried ordering Road Rage twice just now and each order was cancelled immediately after placing it.

A secret limit when it explicitly stated 2 per order? Road Rage is also still up for preorder and, it still has a drop down quantity of 1 or 2 .
This feels more like a backend error or something with the payment method or multiple orders from the same account/card than a conspiracy about 1 per customer.
I got one to go through, but stupidly cancelled it to add in Dracula into the same order... now BOTH are auto cancelled. Luckily hasbropulse has Dracula also.
I had my wife try her account and red card NOPE auto-cancelled first try!!! (so it goes by cards and address). Come on we can compete with scalpers...dont be such a B about it Target...
Talked to Target on the phone and they suggested to wait 24 hours (or more) then retry. WTH.
I hope we can order this toy or all find it in stores after the release date at least. As a completest I would be angry, angrier than I am now, to pay scalper charges.
I SHOULD be released in glut like T-Wreks and be easily gotten.
I don't know if Road Rage will be available in stores, being Redcard exclusive.

I dunno, I was given the choice of ordering two, and my order still exists and hasn't been cancelled on me.

It doesn't work like that (unless something has changed). The employee ID number (in this case the Team Member number) has to be manually added to the account by the employee. The only automation (unless something has changed) is upon termination of employment (where the Team Member number is automatically removed from the account) but, there is a delay to that (unless something has changed).
Anyone in the NYC/northern jersey area who has a second Road Rage they are willing to part with let me know. Having Redcard issues.
Listing doesnt say anything about 1 per. And im looking at my order still saying preordered. No cancellations.
