Target would never reset on the weekend. In fact no store ever resets on the weekend.

The reset will most likely happen between Monday and Friday of next week and if I had to pin it down further I would say roughly between Tuesday and Wednesday would be the start. Monday seems to be the day for Target to recover from the weekend and Tuesday is when they will start their major projects.

 

To add, they’ve been slowly rolling out the reset, or at least the new product.

 

To clarify, there is a difference between setting out new product and a reset. Right now targets are putting out some of the new products such as bumblebee origin stuff

But that is not a reset. A reset is in a complete teardown of a department's aisle and then redoing it with brand new shelf tags that are printed long style instead of the individual tags. The reset will happen beginning next week but you will see targets putting out new product between now and then to fill up the shelves and depending on what their market directors are saying

 

Well thanks for clarifying. I don’t think my Targets done a reset in at least a few years. At least from what I’ve noticed. I only go for TF’s and they’ve been in the same spot for a while.

Each Target in a given area will say something different. You could just simply call and ask.

 

People should also remember that it's back-to-school season, which is bedlam at most Targets. Also, a lot of Targets will be short-staffed, since since staff are leaving in droves for better jobs in a more-competitive labor market, or dealing with lots of call-outs because COVID cases are rising in parts of the country where people refuse to be vaccinated. Given the choice between pushing new toy stock out to the floor or sending the person working toys up to the front lanes to keep the lines moving, any Target will choose the front lanes every time.

TL; DR If your local Target toy aisle looks the same on August 12th, don't walk up to everyone in a red shirt yelling "WHAT ABOUT THE RESET!"

I actually don’t mind the delays. I already got one Galvatron from Amazon but with low shoulders . I’m hoping that with all the delays, I’ll get a Galvatron from later production run with high shoulders.

I picked up a TWrecks from one of my local Targets today after mine went on backorder last night. I explained the situation with my preorder and they were willing to match my preorder price of $2.99  
(Had the $40 off $40 and $10 CS credit)

My copy so far is nice and tight except for a floppy jaw. 3 coats of nail polish effectively eliminated the issue. I like TWrecks’s feel more than Megatron tbh
