When I ordered Omega Supreme from Target it said the same thing. I was going to accept it because it came on a good coupon. It came in a shipping box. YMMV.

Then again my PS5 pre-order with them went terribly.

That's why I'm interested in it. I'll wait to decide what to do with the figure itself until I actually have it in hand, but I can always sell it. I've already had one person say they would buy it off me if I decided to sell it.

 

It went into a FedEx warehouse and never came out. It took quite a few chat sessions to get my refund. The PS5s were also labeled as ships in own box and there a few articles about there being a ton of PS5 theft in FedEx warehouses.

 

Ouch, that sucks. I think I remember reading about that during Xmas season.

 

Amazon does this too when you use a debit card sometimes. It happened to me recently. It will charge and refund the money several times until the order ships. Oddly, the 2 orders I placed that now say they will arrive between May 4th and June 11th have not been charging and refunding...

Yes, they constantly ping your account to check to see if the funds are available. If it doesn't detect that the account has at least the value of the order they'll cancel it

 

I can tell you, you could have a zero balance in your checking account, and the transaction will go through. Whether that's the bank or Target, I don't know (I suspect the latter), but you generally have breathing room to get funds in place before it posts. As I said before, then it's on the bank to deny or approve and overdraw you with penalties.
Like hell would I advise anyone to act with this in mind, but it's the rule rather than the exception.

I believe their prices usually change at 10:00pm pacific. They are based in MIneapolis which is Central time zone,

 

I wish Target would just put in their ad, not valid on preorders. The fact that it says sold out right before a sale starts seems a little sus.

 

I assume you can ask customer service to apply the promotion to preorders
