Now that we have seen about 1/2 the Infinate Crisis story, what are your ideas? Batman - It's not Bruce. I think I know who it is. Jason Todd. How cool would that be? We've seen him trying to cleanse Gotham. He's more brutal that batman but is theoretically doing the same job. And for those of you who read this week's Batman and don't agree, if you think the last page is final, you should know better, especially after his line a few pages earlier. Superman - Wouldn't it be interesting to see Earth 2 Superman have to deal with living on Earth 1? All the wrongs he was trying to fix and he has to do it one by one now. This would also make sense of a hero becomming hated. The hero name "Superman" would be hated. The good and well loved "Superman" would be replaced by the cruel and stubborn "Superman". Wonder Woman - She's going to be a loner. All the other Amazons have disappeared leaving her alone in a man's world. Finally we might see her finally have a relationship and fully explore the world she has to call home. She also wouldn't be an Ambassader because there now is no Themoscera to have UN relations with. Superboy - I want ot see more Luthor vs Superman genes fight. I can't stand that Conner would just give in and sit by. It's completely different from his personality. He's to stubborn to give in like that. More later.
I think the current Superboy is going to die with Supergirl possibly filling his 'muscle' roll on the Titans. And although I don't want it to happen, I get the feeling Bruce Wayne is going to become the Specter and Jason Todd will replace Bruce as the Batman. I'm trying not to speculate too much because there's so much that can happen in the next couple of issues.
I've heard that Jason will be taking over as Nightwing, actually. Don't know where that'll leave Dick. As for Batman, all I have to say is this: http://www.comixfan.com/xfan/images/previews/dc/0306/DetectiveComicsCv817.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v329/RodimusPrime/Untitled-Scanned-17.jpg I'm still pretty sure that Wonder Woman is goning to be Donna Troy, not Diana Prince. Personally, I'm looking forward to Supergirl the most so far. Kara Zor-El and Kara Zor-L sharing a book? Sweet. Actually, I'm just happy to know that Power Girl is going to survive the Crisis. The title that has me the most nervous is Ion. I like Kyle Rayner, I really do. But I did not like how Marz ended Kyle's run on Green Lantern and am more than a bit concerned about him continuing to control Kyle's destiny. I'd love to see Kyle and Jade getback together, but I'm afraid it'll never happen with Marz writing Ion.
I can't describe how angry I'd be if Catman became Batman. All of the Villians United characters were so lame.
See, I hate this. The whole point of Dick becomming Nightwing was to leave Batman's shadow. Yet every chance they get, they throw Dick in as Batman. He's done it before. I remember when Knightfall was going on, Robin asked Dick if he would be Batman. His response. "Would I? Yes. Would I want to? No." It's just so lame. And why would Jason decide to become Nightwing? He never EVER had anything to do with the Nightwing persona?
that makes a lot more sense... but something serious would have to happen for them to trust Jason enough to even be Nightwing... I mean, he's going around killing people right now Dick becoming Batman would probably just be a temporary thing anyway, and Jason filling in then for him in the meantime so noone suspects anything?
I think deceased Detective Crispus Allen, from Gotham Central, is going to be come the new Spectre PHP: hell he was even gunned down in the line of duty by the new currupt CSI jim corrigan
I can only recall Dick as Bats once, and that was (If I recall) after Azreal/Bats went (pun intended) Batshit Crazy. Dick's usually been ignored for the "Batman Legacy)
^Seem rather unlikely at this point Wayne, or Todd have better shots at Spectre-hood but Gotham Central all but assured us the reader that Crispus Allen would be the Spectre. The issue Det. Allen dies in has the word Spectre with the TM symbol on the cover.
Newsarama recently posted an interview with Pater Tomasi, editor of several Batman titles and the Green Lantern books. among other things, he definitively answers the "Who is Batman OYL?" question. Spoiler Space
