Just seen these in a half price sale in Warrington Tesco. 30 bones for the set right now. Prime, Sideswipe, Steeljaw, Grimlock, Underbite and Bumblebee in one tidy package. Hell of a lot of One Step bang for your buck. [/url] 60 quid RRP and haven't seen them on a shelf yet anywhere shop wise. I didn't buy 'em cos I was after vodka innit, but fill yer boots. It's flip change fury!
So... Target exclusive in the US in 2015, TRU exclusive in Canada in 2015, Target exclusive in Australia in 2016, and now Tesco exclusive in the UK in 2016? That set is taking its sweet time to get around the world.
Since the demise of Woolworths in the UK, Tescos have been the usual British home for US Target exclusives so the store isn't a surprise even if the time it's taken them is! They've been a little slow on some other items recently, I think they were the last major UK retailer to get any Titans Return, but nothing like this.
Well, the set only appeared at Australian Target stores this month, so it's not just Tesco that's been slow with this!
This set actually reappeared in US Target stores after their late summer 2016 reset. I was surprised to see it again.

Because they could not sell these terrible toys individually (seriously, mostly every other RID product is sold out here, but these clutter even TESCO shelves despite them trying to sell them at half the price), they decided to box the remaining products together... maybe they can get rid of them that way? Doubt it - did not work for DOTM\'s one-step changers either.
Regardless of how often this myth is repeated, it's simply not true. These are not old products taken out of their packaging, put into new packaging and then shipped to stores. This is a completely separate production run made specificially with the intention of putting these figures in this box set. If nothing else, the Hasbro product code number tampographed onto every single figure should prove this myth false.
I wished I could get in to 1 step changers , but I just can`t seem to get in to the groove ..... I really wanted that Underbite when New RID first came out . Over all it looks like a nice set though .
Stuff does occasionally get hoovered up though. Back in the day both Cybershark and Clawjaw shelfwarmed here in the UK like anything (There's interesting dynamics to how UK BW sales worked due to us skipping early cases cops we got the line late). At some point, right around when Americans were realising there were cheap Cybersharks to be had, they disappeared. We're probably talking late 97/early 98. Six months/a year later I walk into the Toy Stack (a much missed toy discounter here) in Kingston that I frequented regularly, like most days, and suddenly found their shelves heaving with nothing but Cybersharks and Clawjaws where there had been no Transformers before.
So that's completely different from the "toys taken out of old packaging, put in new packaging and then shipped back to retailers" myth, then. The situation you described is simply a case of store liquidating old stock. The myth, on the other hand, involves actual effort at the packaging/paperwork/labeling stage, which is completely absurd.
Oh hey, I still need the EAN barcode for my list. It's not listed on the Tesco website. Can anyone from the UK help me out?
