It is a great story element and a hilarious idea, but... Even Saitama had to perform tests in the Hero Association to measure his strength when he joined. Wouldn't the truth had come out at one point there? That said, maybe he does have a superpower - luck. Saitama always showed up to save him even if he never realized it.

True! It's unfortunate this started off so well as a tongue in cheek parody of anime superhero tropes, then turned into the very thing it mocked. Guess here it shows this was a webcomic originally, right? You know how many of those veer off in other directions, often changing tone and sidelining the main character? (See: Goblins)

While I know how Saitama's fight end up, the show was good hyping up his fights.

I don't mind showing other S-Class heroes.
More different characters, the better.

Okay looks like they won't be able to cram everything from this arc in this season. Looks like it will end after the Garo fight and Saitama and the S class heroes vs the monster association in the underground lair will be next season.

 

I’m totally ok with that. Hopefully they can get MadHouse and some good animators back on board for season 3. I wonder if the native audiences are feeling the same way as I (and others) are about the animation quality of season 2?

 

How would this work? If true to the show anyone playing as Saitama should win the fight easily.

 

Maybe Saitama can only do weak low kicks?  

I was hoping a One Punch Man Video Game would be less sidescroller beat-em-up and more tongue in cheek action comedy.

 

my daughter sent me this yesterday. i also want to know how this will work. i love that Saitama animation doesn’t react to attacker’s though.

 

One way they could do it is Saitama won't have a health meter, he'll have a level of boredom meter. When that runs out he walks off distracted by something.

I watched this more for Popeye.

 

Same, and as someone who grew up watching Popeye cartoons on Boomerang (and actually enjoyed the 1980 live action movie starring Robin Williams), I feel this is one of the few times they actually got it right.

 

The comic version of squirrel girl would have been another good choice for vs one punch man. Girl who can beat anyone in seconds no matter how powerful. (she beat all heroes in new york in mins)
