    I can see where he's coming from. I really like wordplay, so it doesn't irk me much, but yeah, a topic like this is pretty unoriginal and played out by message board standards. I mean, how many "letter game" threads have people tried to make on TFW alone in the last month?

    There's no rule saying you (or anyone) CAN'T make threads like these, but at the same time, I'm of the mind that any thread where a reply can be made using a single word is a poor one, or at least a limited one, because for many users, it removes the need for actual discussion. There's no shortage of threads like that, here or anywhere, either because it's "easier" to contribute to them, or because it allows some users to easily increase their post count, or because it means that users don't really have to read or be aware of the posts that came before them in the thread, or whatever reason, but I feel they stifle the actual communication that is needed on a discussion forum for it to thrive, especially if there's a lot of such threads, and not a lot of "healthy" discussions going on.
