Received my Martolabels the other day...WOW...what else can I say?!?

If you like Spinout you'll absolutely love these decals.

Just picked up another copy of Spinout today...looks like I'll be hitting up Mart06 again soon.

Sky Guardian was the other Jetfire yeah? The one with no thumbs and super hollow parts?

I haven't picked up any labels for my Spinout yet, mostly because I never get any sort of labels, not really a fan of them, but there are a few from the set that really make Spinout pop like the black trim for alt mode........

Just wanted to add that I think I got lucky with the one I got. I don't need to do the chest fix as it actually holds together well. I can even shake him around and he won't come undone!

He does have a slight black chip right on his chest (roof of the car) showing through the yellow. It's unfortunate but hearing all the stories I think I'm happy with the rest not being a floppy mess. Knees and hips are also fairly good. One arm is a bit loose but I'll future it up. It does hold in some positions. Paint is also mismatched on the two seperate shoulders. Haha what an interesting little figure.

No point to what I'm sayin, just sharing! Happy with the lil fella :D

I just now got Spinout and Sunsurge. Awesome deal in my opinion, both for $55. Sunstreaker was my first non minibot TF as a kid. I like spinout because its closer to the g1 toy. It came missing a front tire but its simply molded and I can whip one up with a cast of the other. Its rather sturdy except that the arm shoulder joints are loose when the arms are pointing forward. The engine blower if funky looking, wish it was more g1 looking. He's also an inch taller than Sunsurge. I can see why people didn't like it at first purchase. Its like buying a new car with a faulty air conditioner. However, I feel lucky to have been able to make the purchase that I did. I feel safe making adjustments if I do so. Looks like his neck needs some shaving as his head sits too far forward.

I cut the tabs away on his giraffe neck so his head would be able to sit lower. I think it helps.

I'm thinking of whittling away at the joint so that there is more motion. Cut an angle into the outer rounded area of the joint. I'm sure others have already done it but I couldn't find any pics of it.

    Anyone else missing a wheel?

He's not better from a QC standpoint, but he's vastly better from a looks standpoint, IMO.

I bought a second spinout a few weeks back to try some new mods on, but I haven't had time lately.

I actually carved a little bit of material out of the back of the head. Worked great.

My idea, if I ever pick one up cheap enough to cut up, is to move the neck connector from high on the silver intake area to lower where the main pin is. This would require making the neck joint connector single tab as opposed to the dual tab it currently has, and require carving the center out of where the intakes attach via the long pin. Then cut the original neck connector off the intakes to give the head more room to sit farther back (like, in the collar) and move more freely.

Would that still allow for transformation?

Probably, but won't know til i get to cutting, if I ever do. if it causes a transformation problem because the neck isn't long enough, I'd just add another link in the neck chain.

I didn't really go back and read earlier parts of this thread until now. I didn't know that the designer was a participant. Don't know about you but I think that's admirable. I'd like to know what he was referring to when he said that the neck could be fixed by popping out pins and using a blade. I wish his ideas could be put into an image for us to see.

I've also noticed that some pics of Spinny that I see online are transformed wrong with the two flaps behind the blower being pushed inside the body instead of up against the spoiler. I did that myself at first.
