Ok, I just watched the scene from "darkest hour" where the decepticons were laughing and when it zooms in, you can see soundwave's head and shouldes bobbing too, meaning... HE WAS LAUGHING TOO!!!! I dont know exactly how that works but it did, yaaaaaa, that makes that scene so much cooler!

I'm going to have to watch it again, but I'm pretty sure that, when the Decepticons were laughing, I heard a voice that I didn't recognize. Maybe it was Soundwave.  

 

Watched the clip. I'm not sure if you can specifically hear Soundwave laughing, as they're all sort of drowned out by Megatron's laugh, but you can see him doing the sort of bobbing motions you'd associate with laughing.

 

Yeah same as that, see the head moving.

That's what I'm guessing it really sounds like. I didn't notice this at first but man Soundwave is just as deliciously evil as the rest of the Cons.

It didn't see like Soundwave laughing to me. It was just Megatron's shaking body, giving an illusion as if Soundwave was also moving.

 

Yeah I noticed it while I was taking screen caps. I thought I was the only one who noticed given that it's such a small background event, but apparently like 3 other people found it before I did.

 

No, it's not just Megatron's movements making it seem like Soundwave is laughing. Soundwave is "laughing".

 

Everyone else was doing it, Soundwave just wanted to be cool  

 

When Soundwave laughs I know something is WRONG.

clearly the writers were invoking this on a subliminal level

 

I just imagine how I come to a random stranger on the street and start talking about presumably laughing SoundWave.

 

I'm thinking they should have had the waveforms of laughter go across his visor.
