I have the YOTS Platinum Omega Supreme. I bought the Armageddon Addon this holidays in a sale. It looks awesome after setting it up. People that have both how do the two compare?

I like both. If you can own both, buy/keep both!!!

Both are the same character but very different representations.

Siege is as close to G1 as we will see in titan / siege guise. Yots Platinum + Mt Armageddon is beautiful. The base + train mode works perfectly as a micromaster base now. Yots is also very chunky and solid and still fits in well with the generations/siege line up and scale.

I decided to keep YOTS + Armageddon kit as my Omega and have thus passed buying Siege Omega Supreme. I prefer the look of him, and he scales better with CW Combiners.

I own neither, but given the choice I'd get a Siege Omega in a heartbeat.

That are both great. It depends on what you want from Omega Supreme.

As @Indy2006 notes YOTS scales better with the CW combiners (although Siege OS scales well with CW Devestator). I did find the Armageddon kit to be a bit fiddly and some of the kibble a bit annoying in bot mode. But what a base mode.

Siege Omega is a lot less fiddly and perhaps the best Titan scaled figure Generations has given us. The Rocket, the tank and the base mode are all solid and great fun. And the bot mode is amazing.

Siege Omega Supreme is certainly the better representation of the G1 Omega Supreme character. If that's what someone wants, they should go for that.

Platinum Omega Supreme was very much a product of its time - a time before many dedicated molds and of mostly repaints. Where instead of slavish G1 we had inspired. It's the best version of the Energon Omega Supreme mold, and with the Armageddon set (which you can get for like $35 now), it's even better. But it is different. It's good in its own right. One upside of Platinum Omega is that it's a lot more compatible in scaling with CW/PotP combiners with 3P feet. Siege Omega is too big for any of them except CW Devastator.

In a way, Siege Omega Supreme makes Platinum Omega + Armageddon better, because instead of it inadequately aping a G1 design, it now can stand on its own two feet as its own thing, and be awesome for that. So I don't see them very much in competition. I would say though that the Platinum Omega set absolutely requires the Armageddon set for it to reach its potential.

One more thing, technically speaking Platinum is supposed to be WFC game Omega Supreme (the new arm remold reflects that). While hugely inaccurate to the WFC design (see the PlanetX Omega Supreme for pure accuracy), it is far more correct in terms of proportions than Siege Omega Supreme.

Personally I've taken to displaying Platinum Omega + Armageddon with Siege Cybertron Optimus Prime, Selects Siege Hot Shot, and various Unicron Trilogy original molds and CHUG redecos. SIege Omega has replaced him with my Chug G1 display .

Energon (YoTS) omega mold was 2004 too so it holds up well.

That it does. I still have the original Energon Omega. Love the Headmaster gimmick. If Maketoys had done the Armageddon set in colours to match that I'd have totally bought it.
