The description for this thing is based on War Dawn. They are not the same models.

They are intended to be the same model, whether the animated model is slightly different or not. Tons of animation errors in G1, such as the previously posted Ramhorn being the size of a Dark Guardian robot. Even then, the only differences really between the two photos above is that the Guardian Robots are fatter. Both arms are identical, the chest is identical, the head is identical, and they both have very similar wings. The only real difference are slightly different shoulders, slightly different legs, and the Guardian Robots shown are stockier than Omega Supreme. But it's pretty clear from an in-universe perspective that they all came off of the same assembly line. It makes sense to repaint Omega Supreme as a Guardian Robot or, perhaps eventually, a Dark Guardian.

Cybertron Metroplex is a completely different character from G1 Metroplex and was intended to look completely different. It makes sense that they would use a different mold for the two characters.

 

This is nice I guess, but i'm not really feeling it. I'll probably wait for it to go on sale also. I'd have rather they did Metrotitan or something.

I'd buy the f**k out of Beer Gut Omega if they incorporated it in to the transformation. Hell yeah.

 

Honestly that would be more exciting from the fact it wouldn’t be just a straight repaint. You’d have new molding etc so that would be cool

As someone who doesn't have Omega this is appealing for both the mold *and* the paint if it's intended to match Botropolis.

I'm waiting on confirmation of the latter. I admit it's very specific to me in that regard but that's the only reason I'm interested in this mold in the first place.

 

I can't quite tell but does the inner face even have any new molding?

A straight repaint for $50 more.... Eh... It looks awesome and Omega is awesome but I'm not totally sold.

 

I weirdly like this better than the actual colors.

 

I would be more interested if it came with a track pack for citybot expansion.
