Hello all! After lurking on the boards for a while (and working up the courage) I thought I would finally post some pics of my Transformers collection.

My current display is setup along one wall of my game room and consists of a mixture of Masterpiece, CHUG's, IDW/MTMTE, and a few 3rd party. I have lots more pieces in my collection that I've amassed over the years, but it's all in storage at the moment

    My POV from the couch
    086 (1).JPG
As you can see, TFs only occupy half of the entire display. The rest is dedicated to various anime, videogames, and comicbooks

Edit - My updated setup as of (7/11/17)

Edit - Re-organized section of the my display shelf as of (11/19/18)

I'll update this thread with a breakdown of each shelf and any corresponding galleries I've already posted elsewhere on this site. Hope you enjoy checking out my stuff!

Thanks! I'm not a huge fan of lining up my figures in a boring row of stiff formations. You got to pose them, otherwise what is the point of having them on display? They may not be super organized but at least they catch my attention and look interesting to me.

great display and collection. love the very subtle but effective black lining on some of the figures. Any pointers on how you do that? Cheers

    Thanks!
Tips for panel lining: attention to detail (possibly bordering on slight OCD), steady hands, lots of patience :)
Tools: black or gray fine tipped Gundam markers, super fine 0.3mm mechanical pencil

There are lots of different ways to do it. Some people with model building experience like to use a brush and diluted ink which creates a capillary action that fills in crevices. I find that a bit hard to control and very messy. Pen/markers and mechanical pencil are much easier, quicker to apply, and cleaner. I go over each of my figures in both robot and alt mode to see what areas can be enhanced through panel lining. Then it's just a matter of adding as much or as little as you like (it's basically just tracing surfaces, edges, and lines). And speaking of surfaces, you need to pay attention to the different kinds (glossy, matte, metallic, as well as color) Markers will do the job for almost anything, but if you want something less bold and finer, pencil is preferable (especially on white or lighter colors)

In all honesty, I would say that having the right tools helps immensely, as well as taking your time and practicing to find out what works best for you. Hope that helps.

    Thanks!

No problem. I'm no expert by any means, I'm just a collector who likes to enhance some of his figures.

    Fansproject Function X Headmasters

Here are a few crappy pics of when I first got my FP F-X guys. They were a B-day gift for myself last year. Along with PE Warden they are my favorite 3rd party releases to date, simply for their design and engineering alone.

    Combiner Wars Legends Powerglide

Here's a re-post of some of my Powerglide pics from the Feedback forum. Definitely a fun a little figure to play around with, and also my first attempt at proper gallery style photos. He has been touched up with panel lining and a few paint accents.
