    NBC Plans 'Sexy Contemporary Take' on Oliver Twist - CBR

    A young woman named Twist teams with a group of outcasts who use their unique skills to catch wealthy criminals.


    This isn't Oliver Twist, this is the Artful Dodger adventures. There's no need to change Charles Dickens' stories, modernize them maybe but not a major change like this.

    That actually sounds like the kind of show that could get decent viewership, original story aside.

    Honestly, more than any gender or modernization matters, the bit that feels off is simply that there's not a kid lead anymore, that's synonymous with the story in my head.

    Been there, done that.

    SyFy has been knocking it out of the park with quality shows like Van Helsing and Wynonna Earp, so NBC doing this should be just awesome!
