The Pixies are awesome. Got turned onto them in '04, saw 'em live twice that year.

I saw myself getting back into Creed, Aqua and Papa Roach, I'm not sure what else I got into but 3 Days Grace is starting to warm up to me again.

Around some time in May 2007, when we first got our new computer, the TV Series Supernatural (a former favorite of mine) got into Classic Rock and reminded me of some old favorites (Soundgarden, Filter, Alice in Chains, among others), I spent all my time until July or August downloading nothing but music from every artist whose song appeared on the show (save for a few).

Which is quite a lot of music. Probably just fifteen discs worth of classic rock that I fell in love with, with some others spinkled along my other discs when I forgot to include it in my CR Exclusive Collection CDs. If you get my meaning.

Its really hard to pick favorites, but If I had to narrow down to maybe five or ten, they'd be:

    1. The Eagles
    2. AC/DC
    3. Metallica - [Mostly from their "Black Album (Metallica)" and some others]
    4. Creedance Clearwater Revival
    5. Led Zeppelin

    6. Foreigner
    7. The Police
    8. Alman Brothers Band - ["Ramblin' Man"]
    9. Styx - ["Renegade"/"Blue Collar Man"]
    10. Blue Oyster Cult - ["Don't fear the Reaper"/"Burin' for You"]
    11. Echo and Bunnyman - ["Killing Moon"]

My list isn't exactly OLD music, but some of it may have been out for quite sometime before I stumbled upon it and gave it an honest chance.

Soundgarden - I've dug alot of their singles, but always had that symptom where I would pop in the CD, listen to the single tracks and then move on. I never really gave their full albums a chance, and I must say that some of it is damned good. I just love Chris Cornell's voice.

Sublime - Similar to above, but I had given the full albums a shot before and found some of it good and some of it not so good. Lately I have been loving it all. Great chill music.

Sir Mix Alot - I have to blame Primus for this one. Never realized how good some of that stuff was, and that there is alot more good stuff other than "Baby Got Back".

Depeche Mode - In 2007 I found out there was more to them then Personal Jesus, and it was a wonderful revelation.

New Order - This was more a matter of not realizing which band had done alot of songs I already liked. I find out I pretty much like everything of theirs that I hear.

That's all I can come up with for now.

I recently started getting more into Run DMC, The Foo Fighters, and Beastie Boys. There were a few singles that I enjoyed from each, but Ive been getting more and more into songs of theirs I hadn't heard.

Yeah, his Seminar album was probably his best. I love my Hooptie and Beepers.

Another album I've recently rediscovered was Marilyn Manson's Anitchrist Superstar. I hadn't listened to it since High School, but my buddy's step daughter has become emo and was listening to him on Youtube so I dug out of storage for a listen. A great album and quite unique I must say.

The Hollies? The Band that sang "Long Cool Woman (in a Black Dress)"? That's about the only song I've heard from them.

I also like Jefferson Starship's "Miracles". Beautiful song.

Megadeth kicks ass, especially their early albums. But stay away from their "Country music", Risk and Capital Punishment.
