One question: Spike's new exo-suite is a mix of Rumble and Thundercracker?

I really like your new scan. YOu can feel the nostalgia.

    nice concept!

    only things that bothered me:
    - the decep logo on the space bridge
    - goldbug instead of bumble

there's a bit of perspective issue with the BG (the inside of the space bridge in relation to the ridge) but the more i look at it the more i like it. the ambient/deflected light on bumble is nice. i wonder what theyre talking about...

bumble: remember that time spike when we drove into the space bridge and got zapped to cybertron where shockwave was waiting for us?
spike: yeah. *laughs* god bumble, you were such a ****.
bumble: well excuse me, mr headmaster of a frickin huge base bot.

Glad you like it people! :D

A personal affectation because I thought it looked kinda plain even with the rust effects.

The commissioner requested he look like this. If I'd been drawing it for myself, I'd have probably drawn him as B although he'd have looked almost identical to this as I've always preferred his toy appearance over his show one.

Perhaps you could be more specific - I initially pencil everything as if transparent - the perspective worked fine to me :)

    Probably exactly that ;)

Probably that series. He had headmaster armour at some point in the show (I never used to watch it so I don't know when) - it was coloured dark grey and black rather than the toy/comic accurate blue and grey I've gone with here. See the toy here. :)

i guess if u used bumble itd have the advantage of having a mouth which would convey the sentiment in the pic better. i know this is a comission, but i'd suggest you do it for yourself - your folio. it wouldve improve the concept tremendously.

in regards to the perspective, basically, the inner part of the space bridge horizon is lower than the ridge's vanishing point. you could fix it by adjusting either, but adjusting the inner of the spacebridge would be easier.

i've a background in architecture, so i'm finicky when it comes to composition and perspective :)  hope you find this helpful.

Except that I personally find B's animation model to be one of the ugliest f**k-ups the show artists made amongst the various characters whose appearances they ruined. ;)  Like i said earlier - I'd draw Bumblebee with toy accurate features which are nearly identical to his Goldbug appearance anyway, sorry!

Both the ridge and spacebridge are in correct perspective to the invisble horizon I drew for this pic - I think perhaps you're presuming the ridge is running at a different angle to what it is meant to be.

personlly i think its great the way it is, becouse of tha theme, and showing them as there future selves adds to the idea of them looking back on the times that they shared together. I think its great.

Hey, glad you guys like it. I'm surprised myself how well it turned out, especially since I've literally wanted to get this one done for years. It even predates my membership here at TFW. :)

Kudos to Fourth Heir for blowing me away with the finished result. :)

beautiful, I agree that it is fine the way it is

because if it were BB, it coulda' happened last week, then there would be no reminiscing; the whole power of the piece is gone. It must be their future selves.
