We shall probably have several factors involved:

• "New characters" could mean WFC/FOC characters
• Arachnid is a Vampire Insecticon queen!
• In Preds. Rising, you could see other protoforms in Shockwave's lab. this could mean that other Predacons will be in the show. Abominus, maybe?
• Optimus prime will come back. as we all saw in G1( and ROTF), Optimus NEVER stays dead for long. he will come back as bumblebees mentor.
• Drift and Windblade will appear. How's that for new?
• Megatron has gone rogue. Starscream will replace him. He just has to live his beat-down

How's that, eh?

 

I loved TF: Prime and I hope that the next cartoon stays around its level of complexity and "maturity level." Looking at the first few picture of the new show, I hope that the aesthetic does not mess up the show. That said, there are so many new places to go now.

I hope that the Dinobots are in the show like the comics so that we can see a Grimlock vs. Predaking battle.
I never understood why they had a Predacon in the lab that they never used.
I just want the next show to mix up the cast/status quo for the Bots as much as TF: Prime did in the third season.

Starscream as leader? Already done, and he might be dead. However, they can show Shockwave and Starscreams' fates and go from there.

Nah. As far as I know, they just left his fate as unknown.

Indeed. Shockwave's awesomeness survived the whole Terrorcon shenanigan so he can be around as either an antagonist himself or a good excuse to throw in lots of Preds.

I know he's pretty much robot-Jesus and all but I hope he stays dead this time and lets the other peeps have a shot at the screen.

They've proved pretty popular so far. Drift's appearance in the upcoming film certainly boosts his chances, and Windblade is good for adding both another female to the mix as well as an Autobot flyer.

Be cool to see Megs again, see how he's doing. As for Screamer, not so sure; pretty sure they intend him to be totes dead now.

Cool beans. Getting mauled by three angry dragon robots tends to suck shit for one's physical state.

 

To be fair he's bounced back from being atomized by Galvatron's cannon, so anything is possible.

 

Starscream does have an immortal spark...

 

Yah but that a Starscream specimen in its G1 habitat, this be a Prime Starscream who probably don't have no immortal spark.

The closest another Starscream came to G1's immortality was Animated, and even then that was only 'cause he had magic diamonds lodged in his robo-skull.

 

Yeah, it would be an insane asspull to suddenly make him a ghost or give him an immortal spark off the bat in the next series. Chances are if the writers want to bring him back they'll just say he was beat up real bad instead.

Yeah, I can definitely see it happening, it still feels a little... cheap? I mean even kids should find it just a little strange that characters are reappearing as ghosts right? I mean, just think about it.

But I couldn't agree with your latter point more, I'd kill for anyone other than Wheeljack, Bulk, Ratchet and Arcee. I'm fine with Bumblebee since he really wasn't used to his fullest in TFP, but PLEASE give us some new guys to hang around him.

 

I'm the only one here who actually wants to see the old guard return in the new series.

I feel you can still do more things with them. I don't want them shoved off onscreen to never be seen again like the Armada cast in Energon.
