Good gravy, the Tracks / Shadow Panther wave at Rockside & Brecksville Roads. . . they appear to be multiplying! I sorted the figures because I'm a weirdo like that (if you ever run across a toy aisle where figures are sorted by character you'll know these hands were there) and there were 15 or so figures from that wave.
The Walmart on Schrock Road in Columbus/Westerville has had a minor restocking since the last time I checked it out. They have some Earthspark (Megatron, Bumblebee, and at least 1 Terran Twitch) now and have also stocked some Legacy and Studio Series Leaders (Galvatron, Blitzwing, Sludge, and Coronation Starscream). They also have a couple of the G1 Starscream reissues. Some of the same things they have had are there, too: Legacy wave 1 Deluxe, a mixture of Core Class (looks like mostly Studio Series though now), and a lone Voyager Jhiaxus. The Velocitron stock is pretty well depleted. There are a couple Burnout figures in smashed boxes in the aisle and about 7 or 8 Hauler figures over on the clearance shelf (currently at $25). I haven't seen anything from Velocitron wave 2 here yet, even though I watch this Walmart pretty closely. Hopefully this helps someone or saves someone a trip over the next few days.
Wow, Parma Walmart and Target are in pretty good shape compared to Steelyard. Earthspark is abundant in both locations. Target have the cursed Street Fighter transformers robots wearing the flesh suits of mankind figures marked down 50% I believe, discounts were pretty steep - I assume because they are nightmare fuel. They had some Aussie lookin' G.I. Joe and one Bazooka, and New Eternia Stratos for Masterverse looks cool as heck. Parma Mall Walmart had one retro Starscream on the shelf amongst the Earthspark swarm (a WIDE variety). They still have Bee Movie Arcee and Ironhide as well. Brookpark Rd Walmart had 3 Spike in Exo Suit. FIrst time I've spotted him in NEO. McFarlane toys wants my money with the Atrocitus build a figure, but I'll be content with my Matty Collector Atrocitus. Walgreens over on York and that other road had no Minerva or other line figures. Just the Walgreen basic box figures - Soundwave. Feel free to jiggle the handle. I tried to cast a wide net and scan for lots of stuff, and I've got Junkion tier brain matter. So I might be able to shake details loose with prompting. Is this the line with Zelda characters and Samus? If yes, Brookpark Rd NEO Walmart had some on the shelves. Zelda, Link, and Samus to be specific.
Yes. I recall two of each set, possibly 3 for the smaller Ken/Chun set. They were in the clearance / overflow aisle by the toy section, and on the back wall by the TV's by the aDuLt collectibles.
Thanks @Pencilerobo for letting me know where to find the Hot Rod and Arcee Street Fighter figs! Picked them up tonight!
Polaris Targets got a bunch of the Street Fighter sets on markdown for anyone in Cbus still looking!! They’re on the back wall with some Pops, in between the TF aisle & outside toys
This morning Grove City Target had Some 86 Ironhides and a Rumble and some Wheelies. And a Sludge. Some of that new show stuff as well. The Legacy stuff seemed completely tapped out. Also had a Demona and some Hudsons if you're a Gargoyles collector.
A friend invited me to join them at the Toyhio show in Youngstown this afternoon. It was a pretty fun time. Never been to a toy show. I didn't see a Velocitron Cosmos there, but there was a lot of other neat stuff. Somebody had a Victory Saber I was afraid to touch, $350. A LOT of nostalgia, which was fun to just take in old toys and compare the reality against my memory. Unknown treasures, and other neat stuff. Well worth the $5 price of admission. Snagged a Hasbro Bugbite since I keep making noise about Go-Bots elsewhere on these forums, and feel obligated to support efforts to bring back Go-Bots as legitimate Transformer bros. #Scooter2024
Cin-Day Walmart finished their reset. Fully stocked on deluxe Legacy wave 2. Didn’t see anything else of note.
Never been to a toy show?!?!?!?! You should come to the Columbus Toy Show in March! Always a fun time!
