I don't know for sure without asking, but based on what they've described I suspect the answer would be "yes" depending on where in the space you were. A recent challenge was figuring out where to put multiple pallets (I want to say there were six?) of mini waffle makers stacked a little over 6ft high on each pallet......
Would just like to give my two cents on the whole store subject. The Target I work at (Bainbridge) is so stocked to the brim in the back that we have pallets that go all the way down the length of the backstock area leaving room for only 1 person to get through at a time. If we ever need anything on the shelves that are behind the pallets, we simply can’t get to them without it being a 15 minute adventure. The week after Christmas, Target also cut everybody’s hours in half, mine went to 20 a week. Needles to say stores are gonna be a mess for a month or so due to not enough people working there to keep it clean and well stocked. I’m also going to be asking for either a transfer or looking for a different job. With that said Bainbridge Target has 7 Terrorsaurs, 6 Dinobots, 4 Red Cogs, and 3 Creature Collide packs all on clearance. We have SS Arcees (Bumblebee and 86) SS Sideways, Ironhide, Galvatron, The Fallen, and Sludge. Nothing Legacy though, perhaps in a couple more days.
Just got paid and was thinking of doing some hunting while makin a run to the bank tonight and going to my brothers tomorrow. Is Crasher and Drag Strip starting to show up in the Northern Columbus area or should I just forgo a pointless run to Walmart this weekend.
That's so insane, and dangerous. I hope you guys and gals stay safe back there. I hope it starts to clear up some and go back to some form of normalcy. Your store doesn't have them, but I wouldn't be surprised if other Targets in your particular situation *are* sitting on cases of them and don't even know it because it's like trying to find the Ark in there. *cue John Williams*
I might have to take a picture tonight at work of the whole situation, it's been bad the past week...
Oh, gosh. I'd love that. I know that sounds horrible, but it's like a wreck where you can't look away.
Easton Walmart continues to be a barren wasteland of disappointment. Not planning on going anywhere to save gas for my three day weekend and because of stomach pains. Debating if I want to drive up to Lewis Center tomorrow to check or just go the eBay route. Hmmm.
Walmart Minerva hunting tonight. Kamm's Corners nada Brecksville & Rockside nada McCraken & Turney nada
@TFXProtector got some photos for ya! As you can see, every wall in the back is covered in pallets and full u-boats. The last trailer we got in couldn’t be unloaded because there was no room… and there are pallets all along the store, the men’s section is by far the worst. And all those shopping carts full of toys are the ones that have been found throughout the store that need put back. Needless to say, Bainbridge Target is a mess, and to make it TF related there was one less Red Cog and I put the Street Fighter crossovers in the back.
Whew. That takes me back! All the way back to 2003. Pretty dark days, but working at Target was a good way to bide the time until better opportunities came along.
I will say in regards to store shelves day after Christmas (especially in toys) are a barren wasteland most of the time. Its not even a Covid/distribution issue. I worked at a Target over the holidays in 2018 and when I came in at 6 am the day after Christmas we basically had no Hot Wheels. We didn’t have much of anything else either but seeing a completely empty Hot Wheels aisle is what has stuck with me all these years
The stranger TF stuff is at the Beavercreek Target. ReACtion figures of G2 color Grimlock, toy color Galvatron, and clear purple 'reformat' Megatron. Also they had the Street Fighter 2 TF sets. I was interested, but not at $75 for two deluxe toys.
Yeah it’s very common around here in Cbus for some stores, especially Targets, to be fairly barren until the reset in Feb/March. And just winging it till then. Which after the holiday, hard to blame them. Hard to make heads or tails of some of these toy aisles after christmas.
My wallet is about to get another kicking, Amazon is advising me that the Legacy toys that were due to ship March 3rd are instead shipping this coming week.
