Heck yeah. That was good times (even though my schedule got busy partway through). There are a lot of comic shops and game rooms between cincy and dayton - we need to look into getting some sponsor space.
Not the Charlie/Bee pack with the add on Comaro parts, haven't seen that one yet, but Target Graceland has 2-3 VW Bee's hanging out. Also confirming with Spartan Prime, Packrat had Siege Voyagers. They apparently had 4 sets, and by the time we arrived there were 2 sets left. Brickseek doesn't show any battle masters in Target here but soon my friends, soon.
I was out for a meeting during work today, and stopped by Target on N. High Street in Columbus on a lark. Alas, no sign of any Siege stuff.
Transfan's shop in Fairfield had a Siege Megatron and Prime on the shelf today. They look good in person...did not buy, though...
Packrat comics in Hilliard had two each of the Siege figures. Targetmasters, Micromasters, and Hound, Cog, Sideswipe, and Flywheels. I left with one Hound.
Transfan's had Megs for $36 and OP for $40...which isn't horrible I guess considering they probably paid close to MSRP, I would imagine.
They were about what I was expecting them to be. Comic book stores always mark up substantially, it seems. I don't regret getting Hound, but I'll wait for retailers to start stocking these guys before I pick up any other ones.
Not totally wrong, you don't wanna know what I spent on the Voyagers. However they gotta make a profit on some stuff, and captilaize on the hype. I didn't mind it mostly because I always like getting stuff from local comic shops when I can to support em.
I just told myself I was going on a bit of a Hiatus of TF's but yet this Siege line is calling me. I will need to see them in person first.
Me too. As much as I swore I wasn't going to get sucked into Siege, some of the things I've seen are "potentially" cool looking, however I'm still kinda offput by the hyper realism gritty battle damage bullshit. For me, CHUG is best when it treads the middle-ground between the cartoon hyper-bright bricks of cheap plastic and the gritty dark organic movie with 50+ steps to their transformations (and even then, they're still bad). The fact that the entire aesthetic of this line appears to be grimdark is just... not my flavor
Check out the front page, Target in Virginia had deluxes and voyagers apparently last night. Its Studio Series pricing too. 20 per deluxe, 30 per voyager. I just miss the universe 2.0 days. That Hound with Ravage was great, I loved and still have that Cyclonus, They even threw in Armada Hot Shot even if he wasnt great. love that Dinobot too. That was my jam back in the day.
No sightings yet, but with them being found at Targets in Virginia, I can't imagine it will be too long
