We just had a fire in our house, a small one so nothing was damaged, except the toaster oven. My dad was making brownies, I'm pretty sure it was at the right temperature and stuff, and then I was just sitting down listening to my iPod and then I smell the smoke. My dad threw it outside and put it out. Nothing major, but still "interesting". There's smoke in my eyes and nose right now...
At least no one was hurt and nothing (major) was damaged. There was probably a short somewhere. You might want to open a window/door or two to help with the smoke problem.
I remember that song, I have it on my iPod! Thanks, guys. We have the front door open and a fan to try to blow the smoke out. It's nothing compared to the one I remember in our house in the Philippines, The whole backyard was on fire and the fire department had to come over
I'm glad everything is okay. I know how it feels to have a small fire in the house. A few years ago, we had a small fire ourselves. Kev, had turned on the oven, but had hit one of the knobs to turn on the burner. We had some items on top the stove and a few minutes later I smelled something burning. Look into the kitchen to see a small fire on top of the stove. Quickly put it out with water and now we chuckle about how stupid and lucky we were.
What does the thread topic have to do with the fire? I admit I'm not always up on my jargon... Glad no one was hurt.
We had a dryer fire in my college house late one night. It was kinda fun, as we and the girls next door all had to evacuate while firemen made sure it was safe to return. Just a nice cool night for everyone to hang out in their pajamas for a while.
Glad no one was hurt and there was only minimal damage. But the most important question remains unanswered-- What kind of brownies were they?
Small circular ones with chips inside them. I should sue the oven company for wasting such delicious treats
