Okay this is probably old but i was re-reading the episode synopsis and i found this:

22. Rise of the Constructicons
Bulkhead befriends a pair of construction vehicles brought to life by AllSpark energy. But the Decepticons have their scanners set on the duo for their latest construction project.

okay, not meaning to rain on anyones parade but it looks unlikely that we will get Devastator unless there are more to come  

 

If I remember well if there's more than one there always can be combination in some form or another.
Plus it's not like anyone was expecting Devastator anyway.

 

Can anyone see a re-telling of "secret of Omega Supreme" in this story?

Any idea who the other constructicon is? We know one is Scrapper.

 

My theory is that there are more than two of them, just that Bulkhead only meats those two. It definetly sounds like there will be more, and that they will combine. The whole "latest construction project" hints at there being more than two of them, and some sort of combining. The question is, will we be getting toys of them?

 

They could always be like these construction vehicles when they merge.

Any kind of combination in animated would probably be pretty kool, and what kind of crappy Constructicon team wouldn't comibine? honestly, I figure they'd be looking for a reason to make people hunt for a full set of figures. More money for them, everyone would want all of them.

 

Good! I want two constructicons so I can get a poseable figure with Symmetrical Docking.

Great so instead of Devastator, we'll just have Asstator

 

Wow....that's very harsh for something we know extremely little about.

 

We've not seen many good looking dual combiners in the past (the one exception for me would be God Fire Convoy). I'd like to see Mixmaster and Scrapper combine into something similar to that clip. It'd be nice to get one more and have a triple combiner like Roadcaesar or JRX. I find that when we have 5 or more members characterization goes out the window. But if you have 2 or 3 then you can do a lot more with those characters.

BTW, what is that clip from? Looks cool.

 

How does "latest construction project" hint at more Constructicons or a combiner?

 

I get the impression from it, that the Decepticons plan to take the two Constructicons that Bulkhead meats, along with some more construction equipment (other members) and build a giant and evil robot out of them (aka a combiner). In the end, I think a lot of people are over-reacting to what little info we have so far. We should all just wait and see what happens. Same thing with Universe Onslaught.

Mixmaster,Bonecrusher,Hook,Long Haul or Scavenger?

 

That's from Gaogaigar. Those two show up mid way through the series, there's another symmetrical docker introduced very early on who can swap out parts with those two.

Here's another thought - we know Scrapper is one Constructicon. What if the other half happened to be Mixmaster, and they symmetrical docked? You could get a very "Devastator" looking design if one leg were the shovel, the other the mixing barrel, and the cabs were shoulders, with the classic wing chest and head. It'd be a departure but not a massive one. Only the arms would be different, because you'd not have the treads on there anymore.

 

I still don't see how you could make such a huge leap from project to giant combiner.
