    My (known) victims of GPS:

Pretender monster (whichever one was the center chunk guy in Monstructor)

2 BW Transmetal Megatrons (a little age on that brown plastic and it crumbles like saltines!)

GPS happens do to the particles within the paint that expand after awhile.

Nope. Lio Convoy is not a GPS sufferer, thankfully for you.

So is it mixing or expansion? If it's the latter, does storage at cold temperatures help?

I have a Pyro MISB, and I've been putting off opening him on account of GPS. I'd love to tear it open...but I don't want it to immediately fall apart. I'd feel ridiculous if that happened. If I can chill it beforehand for a while, that'd make me happy.

I think it's mostly just chemical reaction/degradation as the plastic ages - and certain mixes/batches age far worse than others (causing GPS). No idea if refrigeration would help any, short of keeping a toy in cold storage for most of the time.

Randy, Randy, Randy. Such a nice looking figure. I'm on my third, myself.

The first one just fell over one day and exploded... the pieces flying all over the room actually had enough velocity to knock other figures over. Thankfully they were more sturdy.

The second one just crumbled in my hand when I was trying to pose him.

My third one is okay. A few little cracks here and there, but so far he's in one piece. If this one breaks, I'm just going to buy a Razorbeast and call it a day.

Might as well get it now. It's bound to happen.

    GPS

So I know it happens to older toys, but these days the gold plastic is not as fragile is it?

For instance on the micromaster combiner Superion repaint, or is that fair game for GPS as well?
