Only good thing I can say about this image is that I\'ve seen worse Hot Rod designs.

 

These designs are awesome!!! Unbelievable choice of characters as well! And they all look like themselves! And the bios on the back of the character cards are on point! God damn! So far, this looks like a lot of the things many of us have been asking for, done right! Look at Prowl! He looks magnificent! And Hot Rod? And Acid Storm? I'm genuinely enthusiased! I have some concerns about the 11-minute format, but hopefully they pull it off with genius writing. Make every minute count! Fingers crossed and can't wait for a trailer!

 

Wheeljack is totally going to be voiced by John DiMaggio, calling it now.

 

Wheeljack looks like Carl from ATHF. Finally my video is now vindicated!

a lot if not all of the characters here largely take from G1 in terms of personality and design but I knew that would be the case. I like that Grimlock seems to be taking cues from the Marvel and IDW versions when it comes to having a smarter personality at least in robot mode. Good way to make this version of Grimlock stand out. Hope Shockwave will also have cues from the Marvel and IDW Shockwaves. Also am I the only one who sees Wheeljack's head design be a nod to his Animated version? Looks too similar not to be. As for Hot Rod he seems to be evoking TLK Hot Rod at least in the chest design.

Glad we also get our first glimpse of Shadow Striker and Slipstream. Shadow Striker seems to have seen better days and Slipstream well looks like a female version of Starscream which is a good thing.  

 

Ahahaha, Wheeljack has the beard.

Decepticons are a pretty interesting bunch, but it’s curious how they have Acid Storm yet no Skywarp.

Grimlock's mouth takes some getting used to, but at least it's not the toothed DW design. I'm kind of digging it as a combination of RID to this.

Loving the mix of Animated to G1. And seems to add more on the mouthplate aspect as transformable mouth guards. I can live with that. Hope the show is as fun as these designs look!
Overall, liking what I'm seeing and looking forward to watching it!

There was a push awhile back to keep the iconic speaking pattern but up his strategic aspects and intelligence. To try and reconcile the two aspects as a 'broken speech processor' or something in that regard awhile back. I'm guessing that's taking more hold now going forward in new fiction. That was what they said they wanted to do back during FOC at least. So I'm guessing they're drawing off of Aligned's iteration of that concept.

So likely Shockwave will too. Whereas Prowl they may tone back from his IDW iteration and bring out more of his G1 aspects.

 

So I like most of what I see. Prowl and ratchet look good. I really like hot rod's design. Slipstream is great soundwave is awesome and I wanna see more of shadow striker.

Though Im disappointed with some of these....thundercracker needs something to break up the blue. Grimlock and wheeljack NEED the face plates back...wheeljack looks horrible.

And acid storm...really? Acid storm? Thats worse than a conehead....and I hate the comeheads

 

Well I must say that this series has officially grabbed my interest! The desings look to me very neat in combining modern elements and classic ones. The personality of the characters as described in the bios are true the general idea of the characters so extra points for that, but on that note... Grimlock "the smartest and smoothest talking bots"? Seriously? Are we talking about THE Grimlock?
PD: And before anyone attacks me I am aware of the times Grimlock became super intelligent but those were temporary.

Anyway, another thing I'm glad that one element they kept was the friendship between Optimus and Megatron, again, very glad they did.

That's what I thought! Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp ARE the seeker trio.

In any case, the tone I get from these new images and bios is that this series will be... fun, that's it, it will be a fun adventure, and that's ok with me. Adventure series can grow and become much more deep.

 

Well... Given they're supposed to be written through Bumblebee's perspective... It kinda makes sense?
