I just don’t see the appeal of any $300 figure. Like, they look amazing, but no matter how sturdy they are, I imagine playing with them must feel like five finger fillet. One wrong move and ouch.

Put an order in for Netflix Soundwave back on October of last year. Everything had been fine through June. Then today I see an email for a recap on my stack come in.... no Soundwave. I checked their website, no Soundwave in the stack there either and he's pre-order sold out. Tried calling customers service and it sent me to voicemail today. So 2 questions....

#1. Does TFSource have a history of dropping pre-orders without saying anything?

#2. Has anyone gotten ahold of their customer service in the last few months?

I'd really like to know if it was totally dropped, so i know if I must resort to the scalpers at ebay or not... I'm also now worried about a Rodimus I pre-ordered with them.

 

They have fufilled all my orders that I kept but Netflix Soundwave was getting pushed back so I just bought him on ebay and cancelled him from my stack. I think the Takara rereleases are underproduced. I ordered Phantomstrike squadron and the Centurion pack from another retailer and it’s looking like thats not happening.

 

They have in the past for me as well, and have always been very high on their customers service(partly why I called to check), but this is a very odd for them... no email, no answer. Not sure if it's happened to others recently or just me.

 

I’m not supposed to know this, but my wife preordered all three Scorponok upgrade kits from TFSource for my birthday… which was back in early July.  

The wait for DK-23 to be in stock is interminable.  

 

Did you ever hear back from them?

They’ve cancelled a paid-for item from my stack without telling me right before COVID. Just saw that I was missing item when my stack arrived, and noticed I had a refund on my card.

Asked them, they just shrugged their shoulders basically and said sorry we didn’t tell you.

So yeah, they aren’t proactive.

 

They have dropped stuff a few times from my preorder stack. When they said they were getting a new stock of fansproject pinchar. Just got dropped then they put out a message on fb in a reply to a comment when someone else asked saying shipment never came and was mismarked as coming in. Cant remember the other 2 it was so long ago. Think it was tfc protectobot. I ordered with 2 in stock and thry pretty much just said oops we really didnt have that many. That might have been bbts though. It was about 2 3 years ago. Hope you can find figure.

 

Some retailers over-sell their pre-orders, presuming X number of people will cancel. If people do not cancel, then the retailer has no choice but to cancel some of the pre-orders that they cannot fulfill. I don't know if TFSource does that because I've never pre-ordered from them. The prices tend to be a turn-off.

 

Yes to your question #1, try emailing them, they're more pro active that way...I wouldn't use tfsource unless it was the very absolute last resource I had to use...

 

Haven't ordered from them in a loooong while, but that recent sale was too enticing. Now i'm sitting on the wrong upgrade kit they sent me, and the one i paid for is now out of stock. Sent in a ticket yesterday but won't get a response till Monday, so here's hoping i don't get screwed over.
