I have the IDW Legends figure standing right here, and that little bit of added articulation just blew me away. To tink that they'd go backwards is... not that surprising now that I think about it.

On another note, PRIME, BUMBLEBEE, MEGATRON AND STARSCREAM AGAIN?!?!?!?

... actually, I'll take that Megatron.

New molds, but reuse engineering and design elements from prior Legion and Legend figures.

In fairness, if these are $10 as rumored, that means you'd be getting a figure nearly double the size of the Legends at the same price.
I think Hasbro's trying to target the same demographic that Titan Heroes sell to.

I think it is VERY interesting to see Hasbro take these efforts (as well as efforts in the mainline) to turn Generations from simply the "collector line" to a full fledged Transformers line unto itself.

Megatron I like for sure, and Starscream would've been cool with knees, but without them no thanks.

Give me that Grimlock in RID colors and I'll bite on him Hasbro.

Nope I was wrong doesn't look like there is any knee articulation, the leg appears to be one solid piece. That's a shame

It's like Hasbro keeps torturing us with those almost-there-but-not-entirely IDW Optimus designs. 'Oh you wanted that scout figure bigger?'

    I count 7 steps.

    1- flip Head down
    2- Shoulder back
    3- repeat for other limb
    4- Forearms in. x2
    5- repeat for other limb
    6- Swivel hip
    7- leg up horizontal. X 2
    8- repeat for other limb
    9- Join legs together

This proves its an even better quality toy than Hasbro says! :)

Couldn't they give these figures more detail? They look worse than Mega Pretender shells.

I have to agree, I love my CW Optimus, but why couldn't he have a molded chest that looks like his current IDW design?

I am hopping that the leader Ultra Magnus retool will resemble IDW Optimus Prime in bot mode so kinda of like a Powermaster/IDW Optimus hybrid.

On topic these seem like a nice set of figures for younger fans.

Where is the $10 rumor coming from? RID 3-step changer Grimlock is voyager sized, has equal or less articulation, and retails for $20.

It's almost as if the product we've loved for the past few decades is slowly dropping in quality as prices continue to climb.

youknow.... i would have bought ALL of these.... IF THEY HAD KNEES!!!!! why is this the ONE piece of articulation missing?! it seems like these figures literally have ALL the other mandatory joints! universal elbows, shoulders, hips, and a simple swivel head.

knees would have been the one thing that made these perfect.

Starscream at least have knees and probably the only one that I would consider purchasing.
