When would this start Sunday? Midnight Eastern time or later? I don't use Target much but I've got the impression over the years it was a little later. Now for Ultimate X-spance to hold out till then.

 

I'll be sitting on that for Rodimus.

 

I wonder what the life of that coupon will be. Next week is when the next Transformers should be annouced so very possibly we will get to pre order that wave. Definitely a good idea to hold off on using that coupon until we get those reveals. If somehow it can be used for Rodimus or the Ark that would be amazing (though I don't recall Target having Skorpinok or Skylynx on their web site last year, though they DEFINITELY had Omega the year before since I used a coupon to buy him) Galvatron and Slag are more likely to go on Target's web site when they are announced, though I don't think we are expecting the SS86 characters to be announced next week.

 

I’ll use the coupon for MPM Optimus.

 

The nightmare of pre-ordering through Target far outweighs any potential discount for me at least.

 

Target's problem is that they oversell preorders, backorder many of them for a month, then cancel the rest of them. You definitely don't want to make them your only preorder you place.

Sometimes you can get lucky though, and save money too!

 

Anyone know if it works on Neca?

 

My main problem (and I'll drop the off-topic after that) is I wish they would just charge for the pre-order up front and be done with it. None of this temp hold on/off bs for months on end.

 

You can do this if you use a gift card.

 

Neca has always been hit or miss with these offers in my experience. Sometimes they qualify as toys and sometimes "adult collectibles". My best advice if shopping in person is scan the figure with the Target app and it will let you know if any offers apply. The same thing should happen if you add the item to your cart through the app as well, but accuracy with what is actually in-stock is always all over the place.

The problem is that there's never anything good on target.com. Most transformers worth getting are sold out. In store is a crap shot. 90% of the time in my store, nothings on the shelves.

 

Except that Wednesday Hasbro is expected to unveil wave three of Kingdom. So if those go up for pre order shortly thereafter you can use the coupon.

 

Just a note elaborating on a post by one of our mods: a Wednesday release in Asia could hit on TF Tuesday in the US because of timezones. I'd keep eyes open Tuesday.

 

Target 25% coupon is up and looks to be in store only according to terms and conditions. It shows "when you shop" in store, order pickup, and shipping but that is not the case.
