All this is very true to anyone. If any employee says no, just say no problem and move on. Glad for a $7 success

    Ebay:
In my experience when price-matching on top of percentage-off sales, they don't stack - the store gives you whatever the better discount would be. Or rather, they DO stack, but they take the percentage first. Instead of price-matching to $7 and then getting another 30% off to bring it down to $4.90, in this case, they would take the $24.99 figure, take the 30% off to bring it to $17.49, and then price match it down to $7.
Additionally, I HAVE been successful in the past (at Target, but it was YEARS ago) at having them "price"-match a discount. They said they typically only match a set price, but I showed another store's ad for a BOGO sale, and they decided to still match the discount.

If anyone has any more recent data on this, I'd love to be proven wrong/right!

I saw a SS Skipjack and Blitzwing/SS not SS at my local FM a few days ago before I saw the 30% off and found out about their new price matching.

I'm going to go back tonight or tomorrow and show them Skipjack on Amazon.com at $28.86 at checkout, then I'm going to say 'hey! toys are also 30% off this week', and see how they react. I'm guessing they will just go okay, and punch it in.

If they are hesitant, then I'll say something like 'well, can you at least price match and beat your competition by 10%?' and go from there. :p

(Or is this a case that extends beyond wage gaps based on gender?)

Okay, I couldn’t resist... but in related news on deals, others in the Official Ross/TJ Maxx/Marshalls/5 Below/Burlington/Ollie's/99 Cent Stores New Instock Items Thread thread have reported seeing ‘Ross Dress for Less’ stores with leader class seige ultra Magnus and astrotrain for $17.99 (I’ve seen siege deluxes there for $7.99 & seige voyagers for $12.99, bit not any leader class figures yet).

Awesome. My kid wants Ultra Magnus for an upcoming birthday. I have a $31 spoiler pack pre-ordered for him, but maybe I can do a switcheroo

sweet! thank you. I'd'a hoped for under $50 like Jetfire, but Sky Lynx looks worth it.

I have to wonder has demand for transformers increased with the seige line and the switch to more collector like packaging? Yeah there were deals on Jetfire. Walmart clearanced him along with the marvel legends retro x-men and 80th anniversary legends to make room for the lackluster Rise of Skywalker line. And aside from the hasbro warehouse sale I don't think Omega Supreme went below $120. And now hasbro is doing a 2nd run of both, along with every other sold out seige/earthrise release that sold out aside from the amazon skywarp pack. I have to wonder what kind of deals there's going to be this year. Walmart doesn't seem to be stocking anything bigger than leader class. And I doubt target will be clearancing them anytime soon, they do tend to run some good sales around Christmas though

It’s wild to me that Scorponok and Sky Lynx seems to sell almost as soon as theY hit shelves at target. L

Covid-19 is the wild card. Remember Covid? That disease most people are ignoring right now because they are sick of being cooped up, despite the fact that it has not disappeared and ur treatment options are still as limited as they were back in March. Yeah, it's likely supplies were much more limited this year due to manufacturing shut downs.

Hasbro addressed this in earnings calls, assuring investors Xmas supplies would not be affected - i.e. expect figures to come back in stock as Hasbro plays catch up. What this means for sales/clearances is anyone's guess. 2020 is a sucky year!

Keep in mind that price is different at each target location.

Wow. I don't collect MPMs but at a price like that, Starscream is a steal!

You don't think this is just a regional thing? He did only just come out. I'd be surprised if he was clearanced that hard across the entire Target system.

It's going to vary by store. In my area, only half have dropped the price.
