    I had my father try his account, he created it back when ebay gave you a 4 digit number to use as a password and the coupon worked for him so pretty sure its working only for the oldest accounts. Interesting. Probably should move any further discussion out of this thread though.

    I made my account in 2005 or so and it worked fine for me. I've sold a lot over the years with it though, so maybe that's another qualifier.

    I got an email from Ebay that said my account was opened in 2001...but it also says I didn't buy anything until 2019 and never sold anything, which is completely wrong.
    The code did not work for me.
