I kinda doubt that WM will honor that price anyway. It was likely mispriced at a leader pricepoint. I hope I'm wrong though and they actually follow through with it.

I figure the worst case is that they cancel the preorders and offer credit or alternative items, instead, in which case we don't really have anything to lose.

Wonder what triggered Walmart SkyLynx sale, was there another retail with similar sale? SkyLynx was sold out on Amazon long before Walmart's sale.

Pretty much the case of Snapdragon pre-order sale.

The listing classifies him as Leader Class. I guess he's also listed as Leader on Pulse so it's speculated Walmart got their listing info from Hasbro and stuck the Leader pricepoint on him because of it.

Most of my walmart orders have been scams, lost or canceled. Good luck to those who got orders in! Great price!

Welp, now baseline acceptable price for Lynx has been set which sucks because I’ll feel I overpaid if I don’t get it for this. :(

Yep, me too just barely. When I first saw the preorder go up I went to the link and saw there were 2 left. While I was getting to the payment screen they sold out right in front of me. Oh well, I'll get him another time.

Gaah! You have to have your finger on the refresh button to get in on these it seems. How many did they have available, 20 total or something?

Remember: preordering from Walmart is a fool’s errand.

That’s why I ordered one. I had no intention of getting him for $80. But for $50? Sure. If it gets canceled then no biggie because he was an extra thing to get.

That's the way I look at it. If it gets cancelled, no biggie as target and amazon and I'm sure a gteat number of etailers have cancelled preorder's ss well.
If the preorder is fulfilled, then others are jealous because they didn't jump on the deal.

That is one of the most ridiculous things I've read on here in a long time. So you don't get it for $50, it's not the end of the world. It's carrying a price tag of $80.00 and it's worth it and you know it.

There's being cheap and miserly, and then there's... This.

    *smh*

Wait, for it to go on sale then. I understand this when I buy a blu-ray for $30 and 6 months later it's on the $5 rack , it sucks paying retail only to find it again cheaper.

Just remember, how many times and for how long did Jetfire sit at $45/$50 as well? I'm not worried if the order gets cancelled, because the precedent has already been set that the price will dip that low on it's own at some point.

That’s a pretty strong response to a personal opinion. I could discuss the very real phenomenon of internalized value being diminished when a low price for a good is seen but that seems a bit, nope, I’m just randomly hating.

Or, I don’t know, ask anyone with any real experience in pricing and what the net effect of a sale price is.

Walmart.com scalps their own sold by walmart.com stash all the time... they'll honor their price cuts too.

It's all in their copy and paste Amazon.com algorithm and/or human error. :p

Magnificence will be fulfilled at $49.99 :)

Actually, it kinda is. But to be fair, it really depends on whether the price is honored or cancelled as a pricing mistake, which it probably is.
