What store did you find Jetfire at for $45? Best deal I got was 25% off at Target.

 

People started finding Jetfire on clearance for $45 at Walmart - started maybe a couple weeks ago?

It was pretty widespread, but I think they're pretty much gone by now.

 

Megalopolis has the radio shack grey one for $43 as a part of their daily deals... too bad they require $180 before free shipping and don’t offer a stacking/pile of loot/holding system of some sort.

That sounds like a great deal, but people have been posting about how bad Megalopolis has been with order fulfillment. So buyer beware.

They're definitely not a scam, I've gotten what I've ordered with them in the past. Four Horsemen are partnering with them for some distribution for their Mythic Legions, so I can't see them getting into business with someone like that.

And the idea that a company like Mythic Legions partnering with them automatically legitimizes them somehow is laughable because no company has ever made a bad business decision before, right?

 

I said it once upthread but I'll say it again:

If you buy a Jetfire for full price at a Walmart, you can return it and rebuy it at another one that has it priced for $45.

 

How does that process work exactly? I’ve only ever done an exchange with Walmart, never a return. I’d have guessed that when your receipt is from another store they wouldn’t honor the return, and even if they did accept the return wouldn’t they be giving you a refund based on its current price at that store?

So say you bring in one you bought for $80, they give you $45 because that’s what he rings up for in that store and then you wait for them to put it on the shelf and pay $45 for it?

 

Walk up and say ‘I just bought this and it had a price drop’ they’ll refund the original amount and then resell it to you (or just give you the difference)

Yeah, you can return any Walmart purchase to any Walmart store (with receipt). Same with Target.

 

Damn, wish the supply of Galaxy Upgrade Prime’s hadn’t dried up completely. A Walmart here has leaders ringing up for $13 but they’re out of stock. Wouldn’t mind getting that price adjustment.

 

You should be ok. If the receipt says you paid $80, they'll refund you $80 back regardless. They'll honor the reciept matter which Walmart you bought it from and as long as it's within 90 days of the purchase date.

Then, I guess go to the toy aisle and buy Jetfire again at the $45 price if you haven't done so already.

If you are trying to get them to do a price adjustment (hey, i bought it for 80, now it's 45, will you refund me $35?), I think they will honor it as long as it's from the same store and/or it might be a YMMV if try to do it at a different store. Just gotta ask them.

edit: i think price adjustments have like a 7 day window.

As long as they are all Walmart’s, yes. You can return a sale from one Walmart to another.

 

Yeah, what everyone is saying.

I stumbled into my local Walmart and they had one at full price so I bought it at that price.

Brickseek shows what stores have it at the $45 price. I went to the one south of me that was selling it at that price and they had no problem just returning it since I had the receipt, and re-ringing it immediately after at the $45 price.

Kind of a pain, but also cool since clearance varies so wildly at Walmarts.

 

Will Walmart price match to other stores on an initial purchase?
