Ah, maybe that is the case. All I know was he was sitting in my POL from, like, February until close to May, until I just cancelled him. Any time I've looked since it still said "preorder," so I just assumed he never came in.

 

Any advice for trying to nab a Jetfire? The walmart app is not useful at all, and brickseek just gives me a lot of in stock alerts for items stores without stock

 

Brickseek updates when stock numbers are updated and relayed. That usually only happens once a day. If there were two in the morning, they were probably bought by the afternoon. Brickseek might still say there is stock.

The best bet is to check stores that still have Jetfire in stock and at full price. Those Walmarts will put Jetfire in clearance this week. It looks like this item has been clearanced by corporate to make room for a reset. The last two holdouts near me went to $45 this afternoon.

Thanks for the Brickseek info. After a two-hour drive into the hills near Yosemite, I snagged these two beauties earlier tonight from the Sonora Walmart.

What the heck is wrong with me? Kickin toys restocked. Hound and Brunt $14 each. Just ordered another 2 Brunts as troop builders.

I drove to a really rural Wally about 35 mins out of my way and score!! They just pulled them from the back room and put them out shortly before I arrived. Do check around, they weren’t in the TF section but another part of the aisle on the opposite side.

I spoke to the leader of the remodelling team who was probably one of the most knowledgeable people I ever met working at one of these stores, plus he actually grew up with Star Wars, GI Joe and TF toys so he knew his shit. He thought the reason this was on clearance so soon was the section Jetfire was in was kind of a feature section that had Marvel, Godzilla, etc. Toy Story had the front space but the feature section is going away for the new Star Wars line up in a few weeks.

 

Not for me either.

Did they end the clearance sale for Jetfire? I just drove to a relatively-close store that supposedly had two in stock for $45. But by the time I got there, Brickseek had updated. And Jetfire's price reverted to the original $79.99. I couldn't find him in the store anyway.

 

I still haven't seen Jetfire at any brick and mortar stores at all, for any price.

They do this all the time with Lego. They'll clearance out everything only to carry the same item in a few months at full price.

 

Yep. That’s how I got my Lego Batman Movie Ultimate Batmobile & Batwing for $30 each respectively at my local Walmart.
