I don't know if eBay's the problem or PayPal is, but you cannot create and unleash a beast and then expect people to avoid it after all this time. eBay is laughably dense and stupid.

    Ebay:
    Twitter:
    Instagram:
    YouTube (Legacy):
You can accept Paypal but you can also have eBay themselves handle the transaction now. That's what they're trying to get sellers to do. If you had an item that people can get for 25% off, it's not bad if it doesn't affect your bottom line in the end.

EBay is trying to get Paypal out of the way after the split, handle all of the money themselves. Probably making .01% interest on millions of dollars a day or something.

Just a heads up guys, this current 10% deal cannot be combined with gift cards fyi....

The 15% sale last wed was the same thing no gift cards but the last 10% sale this week was good with gift cards which is very strange.....

    Ebay:
care to elaborate? I’m assuming eBay intend to handle and manage all financial transactions just like pay pal did? I guess in a way this would save the seller that 4% pay pal fees on top of eBay 10% fees

Or more likely, ebay would just collect both fees for themselves.

Oh, probably. They don't make enough off of current transactions, you know. Gotta keep them doors open!

Oh, nay nay. They collected those fees when they were still one. Just because PayPal's gone doesn't mean your fees will be any less. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they actually raised rates/fees to pay for this "little" endeavor they're on about, now. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if eBay ends up destroying themselves by pricing everyone out.

Meh. 10% is better than nothing.

I'll continue to jump through hoops chasing eBay flash sales.

Game on evilBay! Your sadistic methods and emotional mind**** doesn't phase me! :p o_O

    Ebay:
i don’t think there’s other service as big as eBay out there so I can see the greed of evilbay’s move trying to eliminate pp. but that would suck for sellers if they do eliminate pp and raise their fees

How would evilbay collect both fees if pp is eliminated?? I’m thinking maybe evilbay strategy is to save sellers that pp 4% fees

I love how the deal's page has devolved into a long diatribe about the good and evil of eBay! :lol  Don't get me wrong: if there's any off-topic conversation we are allowed, it should be eBay! :thumb  It's probably the most used deal on this entire thread.

The fact that a separate eBay thread exists is pretty redundant. :sly:  You would not be incorrect when referring to this thread as the "eBay deals thread"! :lol

Forget it. I'm changing my PW in case it wasn't legit.

    Here's the page: PayPal Deals

I think it's legit (address looks fine, and email from [email protected]). When I sign in, I'm not eligible! :lol

The unsubscribe link went to a PP myaccount/settings/marketing-preference page. So check there to see if you're subscribed for offers.
