Saw these 2 at Ross tonight, not sure if this is really old stock popping out of the back or newer items just showing up.

 

My closest Ross in Erie PA had nothing but Waspinator today. Unfortunate but I might check again next week. Not sure if the scalpers beat me or they just didn’t get anything exciting.

 

Personally, I think it's a regional thing, where States in the West get more/better shipments. Found a ton of stuff in CO, a few years back - stuff IL never saw. So these sightings may never apply to you, unfortunately. Discounters do NOT ship everything evenly across the States. From what I've seen.

 

I was thinking along these lines.

 

Seen only 1 each of Sparkless Seeker and Optimus/Rattrap, couple Amazon sets, and 1 Power Ranger Shredder at each of the 2 Ross I visited. Still holding out hope for those Headmasters and Perceptor. Some extra waspsinators would be nice.

What time of day is best to hunt Ross? I usually go at opening but I feel like I’m always missing the drop and finding leftovers.

 

I always go whenever. Usually it's either hit or miss.

That's sure not working out for me in Southern California right now. I did see Slammer and Airazor today, but those have been at Ross for a while now, and I've still seen none of the items a lot of folks are talking about. Most interesting "new" thing I've seen lately is an oversized Hot Rod from the Dinobots Unite subline of Cyberverse. I've seen that several times, and it's remained on the shelf every time I've seen it.

 

We should start marking the general regions (State) of these sightings. Some stores get picked clean, but I think I travel to enuf outta the way Ross's that I'd see more of these items, if distribution were even across the States. I would not be surprised if a certain pattern emerged, where one or two States have the most sightings.

 

My city has 3 within 15 min of each other. All 3 and ollies, and 2 Burlington get picked clean. There are so many comic shops, toy specialty stores, peddlers malls, ebay sellers, and actual collectors it's nearly impossible to find anything in town. Especially at discounters.

 

I hear that. I have an area north of me that's picked clean VERY quickly. My area though seems like it's just collectors. I think the bigger the city, the not issues there are with what are essentially scalpers to me. In my area, I know most the people hunting and they are all collectors.

Oddly, I found a sideswipe two pack for $16 at Ross tonight north of me...I was torn and left it on the shelf hoping another collector or kid would luck out with it.

I’ve obsessively hit up Ross recently in South Florida and have not been able to find a single headmaster. Seen one perceptor, one sparkless seeker, a bunch of mixed Kingdom — no Hardhead and Highbrow as I’ve been trying to find.

 

Ross locations are really hit-and-miss, it seems. My local store here in Northern Kentucky totally sucks 99% of the time. But, there's one I used to visit in Tennessee frequently that pretty much always had the good stuff. I also suspect the local population has a lot to do with it. My local store here is in a highly populated area while that Tennessee location is in a relatively small town. More populated areas likely get cleared out the desirable items a lot more quickly.

 

...Jhiaxus?!

 

Glad I held of on ordering Jhiaxus 2 weeks ago. Going on Ross Safari for lunch and after work. I will hit 5 or 6 today.
