Found Ironworks at three different Ollie's today, twice in shipping boxes. I guess they're getting straight cases of Ironworks. Sure would love to run across some Hoists and Cliffjumpers.

The cans are fine in a pinch. If you don't want to make it fully from scratch, Cincinnati Recipe Chili Mix packets are the way to go. At least that's been my family's solution since moving to the northern wasteland of Cleveland back in the 80s.

Just wait. Once we start rhapsodizing about Grippo's BBQ chips, there's no going back.

Funny how Apeface has shown up on shelves alongside his delayed partner Snapdragon (the latter by the case) at some Ollies.

One thing I dread about my eventual move out of state is that I know I'd get craving Skyline and Frisch's and wouldn't be able to do anything about it but slap together my own lesser versions.

What amazes me is Snapdragon was the best of the 2.

I've always preferred Snapdragon over Apeface

With Apeface I wished Hasbro didn’t change the jet mode. I never had both Snapdragon or Apeface but seen pictures of them.

I feel like the jetmode is really close to the animation model (which took liberties from the G1 toy) though:

The shield/wings that peg in are substantially wider/larger and that's what throws off the top face/section of the jet. I have mixed feelings on this but, I don't know that a smaller piece that had filler panels needing to be paint matched to the pearly nylon colour would have been better. That piece having an elongated section in only the middle that extended forward would have really hit most of the right notes.

The sides of the jet would look almost identical if you rotate at the shoulders since the black section would be facing up and you would also have an angular intake section but, you can't hinge/slide/swing the shoulder/arm assembly farther down the side which makes the arm assembly sit too far forward. This is really the only aspect of the toy where I'm all like "they were so very, very close to pulling this off; if only . . ." other than wishing the wings were a bit longer (they can look really short on both sides depending on the angle).

Paint apps probably could have made anything in front of the cockpit hinge look a lot closer to the animation model.

I sort of just looks like they couldn't quite figure out how and/or afford to get it any closer together. Triple Changers gonna Triple Changer

What they managed to do though was pretty amazing considering both Apeface and Snapdragon are essentially Titans Returns toys as well as tipple changers and these are the only official versions since G1. There is definitely room for improvement but, they are both substantially better attempts than the first several attempts at Astrotrain and Blitwing were.

I would love to see Hasbro/TakaraTomy make the Horrorcons again in the future though to bring them closer to the level that Siege Springer and Siege Astrotrain are at.

I think they're all long gone at this point. It was quite a while ago now that people were seeing those there.

If you're only after a trailer, have you considered the KBB MP 10v Tactical Container? It's probably more than you want to spend ($40+ but you would be at least that deep in if you spent $20 on Earthrise Optimus Prime and $25 on the upgrade trailer kit), you'll need to track one down (aliexpress, ebay, etc.), it's a tad large (it's designed for an 8" tall voyager sized downscale KO of MP-10), and you will need a LEGO piece (it's not what you're probably imagining) to use as a hitch. However, they are really nice looking (I wish I had known about this product), and it comes with Roller, the repair bay, the consoles, and pretty much all the stuff people typically want.

KBB MP 10v Tactical Container mod via the LEGO piece:
