As well as Metroplex showing up at Costco which is what set the precedent for those "silly boffins" to want to wait on the titan classes to get them at a discount

This. Too many people bitch about Siege Skywarp because they waited for it to go on sale and then sold out while they waited. Now I do feel bad for the people who wanted the Amazon sets from last year, because they DID preorder and many had their preorders canceled. That sucks.

 

Last time I went to my Ollie’s nearby there were no Transformers, and the toy aisle was cut way back to accommodate outdoor supplies.

Don’t expect any further Titans to appear at secondary stores. They’re doing smaller runs of those figures now, with a second even more limited run if there’s demand.

 

Fort Max was found at Ollie's too. I think Devastator and Predaking were the first ones to not make it to discount stores

 

Scorponok is worth every penny of 160. Just my opinion.

 

Yes, I can confirm Max made it there. An Ollie's an hour down the road got one, but was sold out before I could get there.

I'd also add that if you're hoping for a deal on the Titans, just watch the Deals thread. We never managed to get Trypticon for my son at Ollies, but I was able to get it at BBTS for $60. The online deals go fast, but so do the transformers that go to TJ Maxx and Ollies.

 

But wasn't Fort Max before Trypticon? I could have mentioned him, but didn't because Trypticon was the more recent one (I believe).

 

I waited a bit on Omega Supreme and Scoponok to see if they hit discounters. I ended up buying both for full retail price on Hasbro Pulse with the second re-released. I bought Trypicon at Ollie's for $50 and my local store had 50+ of him so I was hopeful that Omega Supreme and Scorponok could be had for a discount too.

Same here, I initially passed on Scorponok at Target when they had the 25 off sale. I wasn’t fully collecting at that time. But since Oct, I’ve been buying all the WFC stuff I can get my hand on . I also ordered both Titans from Pulse when they had them up.

Hope to find some good deals for Earthrise and Kingdom this year. Doubt we’ll see any more Siege at Ross

I got Scorponok with that deal. I figured 25% off was pretty good, and with the Target Red Card you have a 120 day return window, should a better deal come along.

It's technically YMMV, but if Target can't find an item you're returning on your RedCard history, they can still take it back, but will only offer an merchandise credit version of a giftcard. One that can't be added to the app.

 

Yeah, that's their general "return without receipt" policy.

 

Which some stores are cracking down on and outright refusing to return if it's deemed a "collectible". Which sucks if you're in a city that only has one Target and the next closest one is at least 40-50 miles/hour drive. (And if you make that drive, the other one might give you the same trouble as well.)
